They pulled up to a house and a couple of people walked out of the house, with Hamish following right behind them.

"Is this her?" The eldest of them, the eldest girl asked and Cassie nodded at her words, and motioned to Alex, who got out of the truck, eyes rimmed red a bit.

"Don't ever touch my keys again." She muttered, to Hamish, as they all go by, and Cassie chuckled quietly, taking his hand as they all walked into the room.

"Your bravery has shown us that you're ready to become one of us, one of the Knights of Saint Christopher. In this unique case we also have legacies among us. Your late brother Jacob, he was the last of us to be bound, to their Hide of the werewolf, known as Beta."

Cassie said and Alex raised her eyebrows at them all, and looked around quickly.

"Werewolves?" She asked and they nodded quickly. "Okay, so... just for a minute, let's say, that I actually could and do believe you guys. Why would I want to be bonded, for the rest, of my living days, to the Hide of a long dead werewolf?" She asked.

"How did this turn into the interviewer getting interviewed?" It was Hamish this time, he was the one who asked the question, and Alex was smirking slightly at his words.

"As a Pre-Law student, I thought that you'd be smarter." He growled at her words, and she scoffed quietly, seeing the glintin' silver eyes of the werewolf as he almost lost control.

"Jacob had the same gift. We called him the silvertongue. Actually on that note, Hamish actually used to call him Loki's son." Cassie said and Alex looks over at Hamish with a raised eyebrow and he nods quickly. "You're like your brother in many ways, more than you will ever, probably know." Cassie said, and Alex looks at her, nodding slightly at her words.

"I appreciate it, but why the fucking hell am I really here?" She asked and Cassie sighed quietly.

"The trunk that keeps Beta inside after each of his champion's deaths, it has only opened, for three champions, which we will not disclose. Except for, that the last one was Jacob Conner. It is stubborn, and for now since Jacob... it will not open for anyone else." Cas' eyes were sympathetic and Alex was swallowing back, a whimper of grief.

"What do I have to do?" She asked of the Knights, her voice trembling and it was a low croak.

"Go down to the basement and try to open the last one." Hamish murmured and Alex looked at them all, as, they'd all nod at her.

"Okay." She whispered and Cassie opens the doorway to the basement of the house, and, Alex walked down the steps, feeling a great uneasiness with every step that she took.

She found the room and opened the door, walking toward the final of the many trunks, and she laid her hand a bit gently on the lid, and to her shock, it slid open at once.

A soft rumbling growl came from inside of the trunk, where a pair of glowing eyes showed themselves up and gently, the growling, it turns into much more of a wolf-like version, of a purring cat.

Alex held out her hand to the Hide hesitantly, and it begins to move up her arm slowly. "Beta?" She whispers quietly and the wolf snarled in a form of some sort of agreement, as she shut her eyes, and allowed the wolf hide to join with her.

She opened her eyes and felt fangs forcing their way out of her gums and she smiled a bit, looking rather scary to herself in the side of the truck, with her fangs, or rather Beta's sticking out of her mouth.
