Summary: Based heavily off the ending of 11x23, as well as 12x01 and 12x02- distraught after Deans 'death' Sam and Kate return to the bunker only to be welcomed by an unwelcome guest.A/N: this chapter was originally going to be two parts but I couldn't decide where to split it so this is a very, very, long chapter (at least by my standards) so buckle in I guess haha. I hope you enjoy.

*****************The sun set peacefully over Kansas. Sam and Kate Winchester drove home, Castiel in the back seat. All three of them silent. Mourning the loss of a brother, of a best friend. A 20 minute drive and not a word was spoken. The silence was deafening but not uncomfortable. Solemn, yes. But not uncomfortable.
The silence was held when they pulled into the garage bunker; and as they walked in through the front door. Sam slung a comforting arm over his sisters shoulder, walking down the stairs with her, Castiel only a few steps behind them. He was the one who broke the silence first, "Sam, Kate, I'm so sorry. If you wanna talk... I'm here if you need anything."
Before either could reply, letting their friend know no apology was necessary; it wasn't his fault, a fourth, unknown voice called from behind a pillar, "hello, hello," stated the British woman. She slammed a hand, dripping with blood onto a banishing sigil on the wall. A bright light filled the room, temporarily blinding Kate and Sam. By the time their sight returned Castiel had disappeared.
"Cas?!" Kate cried, terrified at the thought of losing another member of her family.
Both Kate and Sam reached, racing for the guns In their waistbands, she beat them to it.
"Don't," she ordered, accent still thick, now pointing a pistol at both of them, causing Sam to put his arm in front of Kate, a flimsy attempt to protect her as the woman continued, "Sam and Kate Winchester. Toni Bevell, Men of Letters. London Chapter house," seeing their clear confusion she said, "oh, you haven't heard of me—of us. We're very traditional. Keep out of the way, keep to our studies."
"You um-" Kate began, exasperated, again looking around for Cas, "what?" She asked.
"I'm here to take you in, you both in," the Brit explained.
"Take us in?" Sam asked, also confused, hand still slightly in front of Kate.
"Take you in, assuming the world didn't end and..." she gestured around her, "it didn't. Yay."
"Look, lady," Sam said, stepping slightly towards her, she cut him off.
"We've been watching you, all of you. The damage you've caused: archangels, the apocalypse, leviathans, the darkness. The old men finally decided enough's enough. I mean let's face it, you're all just jumped up hunters messing with things you don't understand and doing more harm than good. Now, where's Dean?" She asked, looking around.
"Dead," Kate said, fighting back the burn of tears, she suddenly became enraged and began, "lady, I don't know who you think you are," she approached the woman slowly but quickly stepped down as her gun was raised again.
"Stop. Get back," Kate and Sam continued to approach, "I said stop."
"Put the gun down. We all know you're not gonna pull the trigger," Sam said.
Three shots were fired. Bullet casings falling to the ground, mimicking the way Sam and Kate did.
