Chapter 59

Irene's POV

Thuddd!

I was woken up by that loud sound so I got up and saw my mom angry at early in the morning—well better prepare myself for her rants.

"Bae Joo-hyun! What are you doing drinking again?! And you even went to a bar owned the brother of your fathers rival!"she yelled at me and I'm really used to her shouting at me in the morning.

"Mom it was the only bar near the university.." I said and laid down on my bed but quickly sat up again when mom yelled my name.

"Bae Joo-hyun!!"she yelled "I'm up I'm up okay?no need to yell anymore" I said groaning then she crossed her arms looking at me.

"What is it?" I asked "You're talking to that Myoui Mina again?"she asked me back I stayed quiet so she spoke again.

"Irene I already told you,you can't be with her!"she yelled at me again so I did too "But why?!" I yelled and she just looked at me sharply so I continued.

"Mom! Why can't I? I love her but why can't I be with her?" I said and she spoke "Irene I already told you she's dangerous for you she's dangerous for our business"she said sternly and I scoffed.

"Yeah there it goes again for me and for business" I said "Why can't you just look for someone else Irene? Someone who won't be a danger to you and to us...why not Seulgi?"she said and I looked at her before speaking.

"Seulgi doesn't even like me...and why is Mina and their business danger to me and to us?" I asked her and she smiled at me but more of a smirk actually.

"She's dangerous for our business and you know why Irene and you also know why she is a danger to you they have been looking for you since then until now.."she said and I remembered why her family are still looking for me.

"You're the one who assassinated her grandfather before don't you remember? You hated that man so much for putting your father in jail before and you didn't know that that old man is the grandfather of the girl you loved.."she said and I totally remember I really was the one who assassinated her grandfather because he put my father in jail when he caught him doing our business and I lost my father because of him and I only did payback but half of me regretted it when I knew that he was Mina's grandfather.

"And you know our business hun it's not an ordinary business"she said and went out my room and yeah she's right our business isn't an ordinary one yes we might own a company but other than that we also run an illegal business at a black market and that's where Mina's grandfather caught my dad before.

Yeah Mina is really dangerous for me.

"Irene!" I heard someone shout and I smiled knowing who it is so turned around seeing Seulgi...this girl have been with me ever since I was a kid and I have to admit that I like her but when I met Mina I forgot about my feelings for Seulgi and here I am now chasing Mina even tho she already loves someone else,but I won't give up not yet not until Seulgi tells me to...she's all that I'm waiting..I'm waiting for her to tell me she loves me even tho I know that's impossible because she doesn't.

"Let me guess got scolded by your mom?"she asked and I nodded my head smiling "Aish I already told you to not drink pabo"she said and playfully rolled my eyes at her before speaking.

"It's not like you didn't drink last night miss Kang" I said and we both started walking "Miss Bae if I have to remind you I only drank a few shots which tells you that I'm still sober last night to remember what you did and you miss Bae are the one who got drunk and did something"she said that made me look at her in confusion that made her laugh.

"As expected"she said laughing "Hey what did I do?" I asked her and she just laughed "Yah! Seulgi tell me!" I yelled at her and she just kept on laughing "Kang Seulgi!" I yelled again and she stopped from laughing and spoke.

"Okay okay calm down Irene.."she said patting my shoulder and then continued "Well last night at the bar you just kissed a girl again and to tell you,you did still sober...again.."she said and I looked at her "Yeah you did that and you know what else you did?"she said and I shook my head.

"You just went to Mina's place and shouted like crazy calling her"she said and I looked away, 'please tell me you slapped with the truth and told me that you love me too' I said in my thoughts well I know that only happens in movies but there's nothing wrong with assuming that right?

"What happened next?"I asked her "Her girlfriend Chaeyoung saw us.."she said—Chaeyoung saw us? Did I do something?

"What did she say?" I asked again "She told us that Mina was at her place last night resting and just asked us to leave nicely"she said and I nodded my head and spoke.

"Mina was resting at her place?" I asked her and she nodded "Yeah we took Mina to the infirmary yesterday remember? Maybe she told Mina to stay at her place to rest and not do anything"she said and I nodded my head—I'm really glad she found someone who could truly love her and take care of her and someone ready to fight for her and not like what I did to her I hope Chaeyoung treats her well and I'm happy for her now I know that I don't have any chance in wanting her back but wanna know why I still keep on bothering her? It's to make Seulgi jealous so that she could make me stop and tell me that she loves me too that's a dumb idea I know but that's the only way I know.

"And speaking of Mina and Chaeyoung there they are with their friends Irene"Seulgi said and I looked at where she is looking at I saw them laughing together it looks like they're teasing each other as well—I'm really glad that you're happy now with her and I hope this dumb Seulgi bear here loves me too just like how Chaeyoung loves you.

I was still looking at them when suddenly Chaeyoung turned her back it was like she was sensing someone was looking at them and her eyes landed on us and she smiled she was looking at both me and Seulgi so I smiled back at her then she turned her head to her friends again.

"She's really happy now Irene"Seulgi said and I looked at her she was smiling looking at them "Yeah... I wish I was too.." I said whispering the last part "What? I didn't kind of catch that last part"she said and I shook my head smiling at her.

"You're really slow Seulgi bear" I said and continued walking away and she followed me and so we both walked together to our class..yeah we both have the same classes.

"Seulgi let's go"I said and Seulgi went beside me so we both went out and into the canteen where we saw Mina with Chaeyoung and there friends already having their lunch then I thought of something and I need Mina on this.

"Uhm Seulgi could you order food for both of us? I'm just going to talk to Mina" I said and I quickly went to where Mina and her friends was without waiting for her answer.

"Uh hey Mina" I said and they all looked at me "Oh hey Irene what is it?"Mina answered me "Could I talk to you...in private?"I said and she looked at Chaeyoung whose face is having this cold look and stare—but she nodded her head to Mina smiling "Yeah sure"Mina answered when Chaeyoung nodded.

"So what do you want to talk about?"she asked me "I didn't take you away from them..from her to beg to you to come back to me" I said chuckling and she looked at me "But I'm really sorry for hurting and leaving you before.." I said and she smiled "It's okay I got over that years ago tho I was hurting but nevertheless I got over that... I got over you"she said "Me too..and I'm really happy you found someone who loves and takes care of you so much now.." I said and she chuckled "Yeah me as well I'm really lucky I have Chaeyoung"she said and I looked at her.

"She's lucky that she has you too.. you're both lucky" I said "So is that all you wanted to say?"she asked me and I shook my head "Eh?"she said "I wanna ask your help" I said and she looked at me confused.

"With what?"she asked me "With making Seulgi jealous" I said "I have been liking Seulgi ever since we were kids but I forgot about my feelings for her when I met you.." I said and I continued explaining to her about my plan.

"So can I count on you?" I asked her "Yeah you can count on me miss Bae"she said and we both laughed but stopped when we heard someone clearing their throats behind us and when we looked back we saw Chaeyoung looking at us looking at me with that cold stare again and Seulgi behind her.

"I guess I should go my girl is here and also your girl" I said and we both laughed again before she went to Chaeyoung.

"Soon she'll be my girl"
