Two Months Later
Germany was getting more frustrated with Feliciano than usual. Feliciano now appeared more annoying than usual thanks to his hormones kicking in. He didn't know why he stopped seeing Feli happy, and he started to panic about what he was doing wrong. And went out of his way to make his boyfriend smile, but nothing.Feli wasn't the same person Ludwig fell in love with anymore, he never smiled, he was always serious, and he started going on about emotions being a sign of weakness when it was brought up.
So neither of them showed their feelings around the other anymore. Ludwig began feeling lonely again. And Feli felt more like Ludwig was ignoring him on purpose.
Romano and Antonio were getting worried, especially as they saw Ludwig's different mood. From the outside they could see the signs that there wasn't a healthy relationship between the two nations. Or at least, what healthy relationship they had before had disappeared for whatever reason.
Feli had been acting differently for a while, he refused help and assistance from Ludwig, or anyone for that matter. He set alarms to go off ridiculously early in the morning, losing necessary sleep as a result. Feliciano had been constantly asking everyone for feedback about his character, refusing to acknowledge compliments or take them seriously. He had even gotten insecure about his cooking. He had always been known as a great cook, and Ludwig always complimented him for it, it was the only thing most of the nation's who didn't like him acknowledged, but recently he'd been getting worried that the praise was a lie.
The other countries in the conference could sense Ludwig's different mood. He had been holding back from letting out his emotions for over a month, and it was showing. It was once again early, so a few countries voiced jabs at Feli again while others weren't present.
That was a method those nations used to blow off steam. In their eyes they were saying stuff that was true, that Feliciano wouldn't hear, and that it was better than letting the anger build up enough to cause a fight.
Austria spoke up.
Austria🇦🇹: Germany, why do you put up with Feliciano again? We've already talked about his annoying mannerisms, but now that I think more about it, what if you want children later? Why get with Feli?
China's eyes widened, and he replied quickly.
China🇨🇳: That's true, I didn't even think of that, aru... In that regard, Britain, why do you support Canada and Prussia?
Britain shrugged and sipped his tea.
Britain🇬🇧: Well, I don't really mind who Matthew gets together with, as long as he's careful, and is able to work through the relationships that don't work gracefully. After all, we need as much of the tension to go away as we are able to. That wouldn't exactly happen if I reacted badly, would it?
Other countries nodded in understanding. Unaware of what was actually happening. Britain let out a sigh of relief at how he wasn't able to blow his cover or come off as suspicious.
Vladimir glared at nothing in particular, scaring several nations, Arthur noticed.
Britain🇬🇧: "Alright, it shouldn't take much longer before he lets Gilbert go. I just have to make Matthew aware of the plan in order for this to truly work."
Ludwig spoke up.
Germany🇩🇪: I really don't know, it's like everything he does bothers me now. I haven't been able to vent my emotions to anyone because Feli thinks emotions make you weak. Since when did he have that mindset?! He barely smiles anymore! And you're right, Austria. I might want children someday when our world's circumstances improve. Why am I wasting my time...? I think it's because I'm still afraid of being alone... I hate not being able to talk to someone personally about my problems, but it seems better than being lonely.
