'Oh no, I think I know where this is going'

"Yeah, sure. What do they have that we dont? I mean we have witches, vampires and wolves. What could compare to that?" A hint of sarcasm crept out from my voice as I crossed my arms and extended my hip to one side, so all my weight was focused on my left leg.

Caroline raised an eyebrow and took a few steps closer. She grabbed my hands softly and simply said, "You will find out if you attend"
Caroline said with no hesitation, almost insisting that I should go. My parents had already been informed of the news and were hoping that I would accept to keep me out of trouble, and mostly, danger that lurked right around the corner

Of course I had to make the decision. It was always on me. I mean, yes, I loved being in control but once in a while, why can't someone else take the lead.

"Can I sleep on it? I need to think... and talk to my friends."

"Yes of course. Take as much time as you need as long as I have your answer by the end of the week."

Caroline gave a comforting smile and let my hands fall. The blonde woman walked over to Hope and whispered something in her ear.

What was she saying?

Hope wisped me out of the corridor and went to find Dan. After about ten minutes of walking, we found Dan pummelling a punching bag leaving dents in it, and finally he knocked it off the chain.

"Shit!" he looked around to check no one saw until he set his sights on Hope and I.

Oh, did I mention Dan was a vampire; and a strong one at that. Probably the strongest at school.

"Dan! You can sort that out later, right now,
Rina and I need to talk to you."A concerned look spread across his face and jogged over to us.

"What's up? Did someone hurt you two? Who do I need to punch?" Genuine worry was concealed behind his idiotic statements.

"It's about the letter I got earlier. It's about a place called Hogwarts, a school.'

"Oh no, I think I know where this is going".

We let Dan read the letter and told him everything. Hope told Dan that Caroline had told her, to convince me to go to Hogwarts. She said it was safer for me that way, that it was the best place for me.

I was extremely confused but shrugged it off as I had too much on my mind right now.

Dan and Hope said nothing and just simply gave me a hug.

Throughout the week, the devilish duo dropped hints about me attending the mystery school. By the end of the week, my best friends had been nagging at me so much and just being blunt, that I agreed to it:

"Come on Ri Ri. What have you got to loose? Besides there's nothing else here for you except your parents and us. Anyways, I can astral project me and Dan, and you can do the same to see your parents. Come on. Pleeeeeeeeeeee-"

"Ok, ok fine! Just shut up and let me sleep please!" I pleaded and pulled the covers over my head.

The next day after Hope and I got ready for school, it was the last day until I had to give Caroline her answer.

While the group walked to lunch, I separated from the small crowd and headed toward the office.

I was about to knock on the door until it swung open to reveal an old lady wearing long, green robes. She had her dark grey hair tied up into a neat bun. She had small, half moon spectacles hanging onto the end of her nose, and she looked over to see my small body looking up at her.

Why the hell do I have to be so short! I hate being 5'2!!

"Miss Salvatore. I have been waiting for you. Please come in." I cautiously stepped through the door way and closed it behind me as the lady poured some tea.

"Ummmm, sorry, I hope you don't mind me asking, but who are you?"

"Why my dear, I am Professor McGonagall. I am deputy head mistress at Hogwarts. Have you come to a conclusion? Will you be joining us this year?"

"I have thought about it, and... yes. I would like to come."

"Wonderful! Well, better start packing, our groundskeeper will be here soon to gather to help you buy things for school. Thank you Miss Forbes, I will be heading out now."

Well that was quick.

I looked at Caroline as her face was beaming with joy and when I looked back, the woman was gone. Blinking and squinting my
eyes a few times was not helping, until I realised she had completely vanished.

Caroline and I conversed about what to bring with me, but other than that, she didn't know much more.

Just as I was about to leave, a loud bang came from outside and I immediately stood in front of Caroline. I began to walk to the door, edging closer. My hand extended to the door handle and almost knocked it off its hinges as it flung free.

Stood before me was a giant man. He had a huge beard and a mangled main of hair covering his face. He was three times the size of me and my jaw fell in awe.

"Why 'ello there, you must be Irina. I'm Rubeus Hagrid, but I go by me last name. Easier that way. I meself am Groundskeeper at Hogwarts. Could I er, bother you fer a drink, I'm quite thirsty..."

A/n: Sorry this is such a short chapter and the quality isn't the best. I just needed to get something up. I didnt want it to get boring for you guys so the next chapter will be a little slow, but the one after will get more interesting because she gets to Hogwarts and meats a few special people
