'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!'

I fluttered my eyes open and, oh my god!
I did it! Platform 9¾!
I turned around to face the entrance I came through, but the wall was no longer an invisible passage, it was a solid brick wall.
I didn't want to waste any more of my time staring at the wall, so I turned around embracing my surroundings.
To my left was a huge, scarlet train that had steam coming out from the top of it, and children poking their heads out from the windows waving goodbye to their families.
A great big smile crept onto my face at the sight of so many happy people. I know its cheesy, but I never got this kind of love from my parents (they were always off saving the world or something like that so didnt have much time for me, thats why they sent me to boarding school), and seeing that other people get to have what I don't, makes my day that little bit better.
Leaving my thoughts behind, I peered at the clock above me; it was 10:59!
Shit!
Flustered, I darted my eyes throughout the platform until they halted at the sight of a man in a work suit, hauling bags to the end of the platform.
I ran over to where I could see some last-minute luggage being loaded into a secluded compartment near the back of the train, so I sprinted over toward the man and handed him my owl cage. As soon as my possessions had left my pockets, they grew to normal size and flung from my hands.
The gentlemen stared at me with a mixture of shock and confusion printed across his face, but he shrugged it off and continued to fill what space was left in the compartment. Once Harlet was safely inside, he shut the door and grabbed onto a handle on one of the doors. Without even caring to tell me anything, he opened and closed the door behind him, disappearing into the abyss.
I shook my head rapidly, trying to focus on what I was doing.
From the corner of my eye, I saw the train begin to move and I was still not on it.
It picked up some speed and started to leave the station, while arms stuck out from the empty space between the roof and door of the compartments, waving family members goodbye.
I was just stood there, unable to move or think. My body was frozen.
I thought it would be easy to use my vamp speed but then realised how many people were on the platform. It was too risky; I couldnt chance people seeing me and revealing my secret, so I had to find another way.
Once I had completely snapped back to reality, I ran toward the train and only just managed to grab one of the doors before the vehicle had gone completely.
Thank god for that.
I was only just hanging onto the edge and my feet were barely touching a small step on the outside of the entrance; I was standing on my toes and grasping onto the lever for dear life, as the train sped through the tunnel in the station. Still with me on the outside.
I was squinting my eyes and pulling myself closer to the metal, hoping that I wouldnt get caught on the wall and ripped apart.
Well, isnt this fun, holding onto a train for dear life on my first day. What a great start.
Once we had exited the tunnel, beams of sunlight reflected off the shiny material and hit my face, making me release one of my hands from its grasp on the doorhandle. I covered over my eyes but soon realised I was practically dangling off the train.
