SHE STEPPED UP ONTO THE STOOL, slightly nervous as she was one of the first to be called up, but she tried to seem calm to everyone watching. She sat down, knowing which house she wanted to be in but also didn't want to be stray from her twin and her family's tradition.

The professor placed the sorting hat on the young girls head, waiting for the hat to call out the house. But it took longer than usual. The girl was difficult to place.

Loyal. That's what the hat first saw when it was looking into the girls head. She was extremely loyal to those she loved and trusted. But she was as patient as a child on Christmas morning.

Wit. The girl was notoriously witty, always having a cheeky remark to go with all sentences, whether she said it or not it doesn't matter. But don't let that throw you off. Though the girl would probably classify herself as the funniest in the family, she was exceptionally smart. Knowing more than most people was probably what made her stand out most compared to others.

Cunning. The girl was always getting her way and scheming with her cousin, considering herself the brains of the operation while her cousin and brother were the 'brawns'.

Brave. The girl was brave to say the least. She walked into danger not even considering the consequences that were sure to follow, at least not until it was too late. Her parents would call it stupid, but she called it fun, living for the rush she would get from doing dangerous things.

Everyone waited in anticipation, waiting for the sorting hat to make its decision. The girl sat on the stool, wringing her fingers nervously hoping she got into either of the two rivaling houses. And just when she thought the hat would never make its decision, it called out the house she would be claim proudly for the rest of her life.

Loralie woke up from her three hours of sleep, stretching her limbs and accidentally hitting her unusually blue eyed black cat, Stereo who was laying in a curled up ball on the pillow next to her. The girl smiled, rubbing the top of Stereo's head with her thumb making the cat yawn and get up, moving to find a comfortable spot on Loralie's stomach and going back to sleep.

The girl laughed, placing an arm under her head to prop it up a bit and continued petting her beloved cat, a content smile on her face as Stereo started softly purring.
