I started to unpack and put all of my clothes into a drawer. I put on some comfy shorts and a dark green tank top. It was about 86 degrees out and way too hot for a sweater. I closed the big windows and turned on the AC before walking out and shutting the oak door to keep in the cool. I decided to see if I could find Jordan again because I wanted to ask about which bathroom I should use. But I couldn't remember what he had said, whether he was in his room or downstairs. I decided to check all the rooms first. I first went to the door next to mine, knocking on the wood before sliding my head round and peering inside. This room was much darker, but it was still big and had a bed with blue sheets and some pulp fiction posters on the walls. There was also a white desk with a big gaming console and a light up keyboard. Must be a gamer boy or girl. I gently closed the door, hoping that I would get along with whoever this person was so that I could use their setup.

Turning next to the door opposite my room, I knocked on the door and heard a grunt form inside.

'What you want Jord?' a voice called. 'I'm just finishing a game.'

'Uh hey.' I called back. 'It's uh, Mimi.'

'Shit,' he said. I could hear some scuffling inside before the door opened.

A tall guy with blonde fluffy hair and clear eyes stood, towering in front of me. He had full lips and I could see he had tattoos all down his arms. There was a spider scrawled across the centre of his chest. He was hot. Like seriously hot. I got a bit flustered.

'You are?' he questioned.

'Uh-' I stuttered. 'Uh I'm. I just landed from Washington-' I couldn't get a solid sentence out.

'She's a family friend.' Jordan's voice butted in. He turned the corner with a smooth smile.

'Her mom's got a job at some fancy school and she need a place to stay over the summer. Her name's Amelia.

'Sweet. It's nice to me you Amelia.' He held out his hand. He had a scorpion tattooed on the back and his nails were painted red and black. Damn. I shakily grabbed his hand.

'Vinnie.' He shook mine with a smirk.
