I had seen that he was living with a bunch of his friends- they were always on my fyp doing dances and thirst traps. Jordan and I talked every month or so and he told me all about all the drama that happened with his friends. I knew all about Mads and Jaden- I swear they break up and get back together every week!
My mum worked as an English teacher her entire life at my high school and a couple months ago she got an invite to work at a really well paid and prestigious summer school for three months. I was so excited for her at first but realised that I was probably gonna have to stay with my dad. My parents got divorced when I was about three. He didn't really show up again till I was 10. My parents argued all the time whenever they were together, so I always had to act as the messenger between them. I hated it. I hated my dad, but I still loved him purely because he was my father- it's complicated.
Anyway, I pleaded with my mum for weeks asking if I could stay with friends or on my own- but since I was still 17 and all my friends were my age, she wouldn't let me. I was only allowed to stay with people over 18. Then it hit me- I could stay with Jordan! I ran to her on a Saturday evening and after a few minutes of convincing, she agreed. I texted Jordan and he said it was absolutely fine. I hadn't seen him for about 5 years, and it was probably gonna be awkward, but anything was better than my dad.
