'Is everyone ready?' I heard Jordan shout up the stairs.

'Nearly!' I shouted along with a few others. Today we were going to the beach. I put on a simple black bikini and packed sunblock and some essentials into a beach bag, before taking a quick mirror selfie. I threw over a pair of denim shorts and shut my door. I ran down the stairs, slipped on some flipflops and locked the front door. I half shuffled, half ran over to Jordan's black jeep and climbed in the back. Vinnie and Jordan were in the front with Vinnie driving, and Mads and Jaden were sitting together, leaving me thridwheeling on my own.

'Alright. We got everything?' Mads asked.

'I think so,' Jordan replied. 'You okay back there Mimi?'

'Yeah.' I replied with a fake smile. The drive was gonna be two hours, so put on a playlist and began to plait my hair into French braids.

Within a few minutes, I got bored and opened tiktok. I scrolled mindlessly for a few minutes, until I saw a text pop up from Vinnie.

We arrived at the beach and everyone practically fell out of the car, scrambling to get down to the beach. The boys all ran straight into the sea, while mads and I set up towels and a sun umbrella. We both lay down and watched the boys pushing each over and laughing.

'So, Vinnie...' she started.

'hm?'

'I can tell you like him.'

'What?' My eyes went wide and I'm sure I went bright red. 'What are you on about?' I asked defensively.

'It's ok hunny, you don't need to deny it. I can tell these things,' she said with a smirk.

'I mean- I kinda like him? But he defo doesn't like me back. He likes cooler girls and older girls. I'm too "innocent" for him.' I said with quotations.

'Girl- are you blind?' That man clearly likes you back. He probably doesn't know what to do cause as you said you're not his usual type.' I pulled a face.

'That's not a bad thing!' She exclaimed.

'Yeah whatever' I said. 'Let's go in the sea.' I added, grabbing her hand as we got up.

We ran into the cold sea together, splashing about but making sure our hair didn't get wet. I'm not one of those girls, but my hair is such a pain to keep looking pretty- it goes really wavy and straggly when it gets wet.

All of a sudden, I felt two strong hands push on my shoulders and my head was submerged under the water. I came up spluttering and both Vinnie and Jaden laughing at me and Mads with hair plastered to our faces.

'Oh my god!' Mads squealed with an angry face.

'Your gonna die!!' I screamed as I chased Vinnie out the water.

I could also see Mads pushing Jaden under the water in a laughing rage.

Vinnie sprinted back to the towels and once I caught up to him, I jumped onto his back, pushing him face first into the sand. Without thinking he rolled himself over, so I was underneath him. He smiled naughtily and pressed my hands into the sand above my head with one hand and tickled me with the other. I squealed and squirmed under him, begging him to stop. After almost completely losing my breath, he stopped, and I pushed him off me.

'I hate you!!!' I laughed.

He smirked and lay down on the towel and I sat on my knees to face him. His eyes glinted in the sun and I wanted to run my finger down his tattooed skin so badly.

'I'm so glad I came here, and we made friends, Vinnie. I haven't had a guy friend like this in so long.' His face dropped slightly, but I ignored him and lay my head on his chest. I could feel his hand stroke my hair and it made me feel so safe. As the sun was beating down on us both, I secretly wished I could tell him how I felt.

I wish I could tell her how I felt. We lay with her head on my chest for about 20 minutes until I was almost certain she was asleep. Jordan came strolling back after around an hour holding some random girl's hand. He looked at me a bit funny before announcing himself to the group.

'This is Olivia.' He said. I felt Mimi jolt awake on top of me. She immediately stood up and ran over to shake this girl's hand. God she was so sweet.

'Hey! I'm Amelia,' she introduced herself.

'Olivia- but you guys can call me Liv'. The girl smiled.

'Now Jordan, where did you find this pretty young lady?' She mocked.

'He actually came up to me while I was skating and offered me a coffee.' Liv interjected.

'How gentlemanly. Well done Jordy.' She bowed at him and ran back over to me.

'Don't call me Jordy dude imma kill you.'

We all laughed at him. Everyone sat down on the towels and chatted, Jaden was discussing his new song and we all begged him to play a snippet. I could see Mads gushing over him and hyping him up constantly. It was so cute. I wished I could be like that with Vinnie. He kept putting his arm around my waist and I leant into his shoulder as the sun went down. But I kept seeing |Jordan giving me weird looks. What was his deal? I was gonna ask him when we got back home.

After the sunset, I was getting cold, so we decided to go back to the car and Liv agreed to joins us for dinner back at home. This time Jordan drove because Vinnie and Jaden had had a few beers through the day. That meant Liv was next to Jordan, and Mads, Jaden, me and Vinnie all had to squish in the back. After a few minutes we were all way too uncomfortable, so Vinnie suggested I sit on his lap. Of course, I obliged, and I could see Mads and Jaden smirk at each other in the corner of my eyes. Jaden opened the windows and the cool summer air blew in my hair. I looked around at Vinnie's pretty eyes as 'No Idea' by Don Toliver came on the radio.

'Turn it up Jordan!' I shouted over the wind.

Liv, me and Mads all sung the words and danced as the boys laughed at us. It was perfect. This was the happiest I had ever felt. The sun was still just peeking over the horizon and I stuck my head out the window to watch it as we drove away from the beach. I felt Vinnie's hands wrap around my chest and smiled.
