"are you sure you're okay to be alone today?" John asked for what was probably the 60th time that morning. "I could call Laf or Eliza to stay with you. Or I could just stay home!" Peggy sniffled. "I'm fine. I just need a little rest, that's all."
"What if something happens when I'm not here!" John panicked. While Peggy found his concern for her cute, she knew she couldn't give in. "if something happens I'll call you. I promise." she assured. Peg could tell he was still hesitant. She placed a small kiss on his cheek. "I'll be fine, my love."
With an extended sigh, he made his way toward the door looking back at her. "I'll call you on my lunch break, okay?" Peggy nodded. "I'll be waiting. I love you!"
