This meant it was a murder. Not suicide. Right? There was so much more to figure out. Who? And why? Why Hillary? It was Thomas's friends that were there-

Oh my god....... He said he and Hillary used the same pills..... What if.... What if it was Thomas.... who was supposed to- to die?

It could have been, right? If it was.... then Hillary died for... for completely no reason. I needed to tell the police.

They would be here in half an hour anyway. I'd tell them then.

I heard a knock on the door. A loud knock. I swung open the door to see a man and a woman outside.

"Come inside, Officer....?"

"Michael. Michael Ramanathan. A pleasure to meet you" He stretched out his hand which I shook. "We are so sorry for your loss."

I led them to the living room.

"Please, sit down. Can I get you two anything? Uh... water? Iced tea? coffee?"

"A glass of water each would be fine, thank you." The woman replied.

I filled two glasses of water while I heard them talk in hushed whispers.

"Here"

"Thank you" She smiled at me. I managed a small smile for her.

"So, you're Hillary Richards's sister?"

"Yes. Janice Hunter"

"When was the last time you saw your sister?"

"Okay... Would you say your sister is the kind of person who would commit suicide?"

"No"

"Thank you. Who would you suppose would have committed such a crime against her?"

"No one that I know of. Hillary was always a pleasant and generous person."

"Could you please give us an insight into what Hillary's personality was like?"

"Um, okay. Like what exactly should I talk about?"

"What was she like? Was she intimidating, expressive, honest, trustworthy... ?"

"Okay, um, so Hillary was always honest, she said what was on her mind she was also trustworthy and uh, took it to heart when someone broke her trust, It made her angry, always... I, um, she was sweet and genuine, she did things impulsively sometimes, so you could say she wasn't much of a rational person but she was loving, caring... all the time..."

I couldn't go on. It wasn't fair to try to describe Hillary in just a few words... she was so much more than that.

"Okay... thank you for sharing that with us," Officer Michael said.

"Okay... Do you think on any range, her husband would have done it?"

"Thomas? No."

I never even thought of him as a suspect. He wouldn't have done it. There was no way. He was Thomas. He loved Hillary. But he also l- No. He wouldn't have done it.

"Okay then. Could you tell me about the fight between your sister and her husband and how it impacted each of them?"

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that's private. Well, Hillary was... was mad at Thomas, as he um had uh broken her trust... we can say. She was very upset and he apologized quite a few times but both of them still loved each other, I believe."
