Chapter 11

~Alfred's POV~

I sat in the bathroom and cried. I didn't want to believe he tried that, I wanted to trust him but now I didn't know if I could. I was scared of having sex, I was scared of what he would think, I was scared he would leave after he saw. He came to the door and tried to talk to me but I told him to go away. I just needed to get comfortable with the idea. A while later he returned.
"Alfred. I shouldn't have done that, you made it clear you were not ready" he said calmly, I could hear the guilt in his voice though, I knew he regretted what he did.
"But you still did. I wasn't ready, you knew that" sadness tinged my voice, the man I trusted betrayed me.
"I know it did. I thought I could change your mind" he mumbled.
"You hurt me. You betrayed my trust"
"I would do anything to get you to forgive me. I love you" I opened the door and got up to look him in the eye.
"Do you love me enough to one day marry me?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yes" he said with no delay. I blushed at how quick he got his answer and looked down at my feet.
"Well, then I might forgive you" I said, still blushing furiously.
"Wait. Does this mean that if I asked you, you would say yes?" He stared at me, his eyes wide. I nodded and looked up, the blush disappearing. "Can I kiss you?"
"Yes" I whispered. He moved forward and kissed me, I kissed him back and he put his arms around my waist and I blushed. Again. He picked me up and carried me into the bedroom and I froze slightly. Surely he wouldn't again? He laid down on the bed, with me sitting on his chest, he looked at me and smiled.
"Nothing you don't want to. Although, would you mind sharing a bed? Just for sleeping" he said.
"That would be okay" I mumbled. He closed his eyes and smiled.
"You know how I feel about you. Right?" He asked, eyes still closed.
"I think so" I said slowly.
