Ashlyn POV

When I had returned from work the next day, I had expected to see no one in my apartment and then realize Sunwoo hadn't been real and I had imagined it all due to how my I missed him.

I was wrong.

There he was, sitting on the couch and staring at the window, waiting for me.

"Sunwoo?" I softly called out.

The male turned, a soft smile rising to his face at the sight of my delicate figure and uncertain face.

"Hey." He said, voice as beautiful as I had always remembered.

I gave him a smile in return before placing down my bag and coat and walking towards him near the window.

I couldn't help but feel content.

He really was here, he was really waiting for me the same way I had dreamed about for nights. He was actually smiling at me, maybe a little pale and maybe his hair is different, but it's still him.

Sunwoo POV

I watched as she walked towards me, a soft and pretty smile on her face, looking as beautiful as I had always remembered. Her long brown hair was tied up in a high ponytail, gently switching side to side which each step she took. Her bright almond brown eyes sparkled under the faint sunlight produced from the window beside me as she gave me an even wider smile, my favorite dimple forming beside her pink lips.

"You look happy." I said to her when she arrived by my side.

"You're here." she replied, my eyes not missing the small blush in her cheeks.

I simple chuckled, reaching my hand out to ruffle her hair the way I always did before realizing I couldn't.

Disappointment filled me as I dropped my hand and looked away from her, unable to hide the fact that me not being able to touch her at all was bothering me.

"Are you okay?" she asked after a few seconds of silence.

I sighed.

"I'm fine."

Ashlyn POV

I went into my room, my mind not being able to stop thinking about the disturbed expression on Sunwoo's face earlier, as I entered my bathroom to take a shower.

Once I was done cleaning myself, I wiped my hand on the fog of the mirror, looking behind me to see if Sunwoo was standing there before realizing what I was doing and laughing at myself.

Putting on comfortable clothes, I walked back into the living room to see Sunwoo sitting on the sofa, waiting for me.

"Let's start." he said and I remembered how I had promised to help him with finding his murderer.

"Okay." I said, taking a seat before preparing myself for the long and serious discussion coming.
