victoria's pov

"wake up bitch!" june screams pulling the soft orange blanket off me roughly.

i groan at the sudden coldness and curl up into a ball. "five more minutes, mom." i turn over and start to fall asleep until feel something dropping on my hair.

i open my eyes and see june there standing over me with a evil smirk, a cup of water in their hand. as soon as i open my eyes they dump it over my head and rush out of the tent.

i roll my eyes and rise out of bed to put my glasses, boots and jacket on. i put my blanket folded neatly on my cot and exit the cold tent.

it's even colder outside. i try to pat away the dampness in my hair but it doesn't really work so i just put my hood up to hide it.

"my friends. This is an historic unity day." i hear jaha say over the radio. i walk closer and stand beside raven watching him talk all high and mighty about earth. "every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the ark but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. next year, on the ground!"

applause erupts for his little speech. "right. after we did all the work. someone shut him up." miller gestures to the group forming behind us.

"you shut up, miller. no one's forcing you to watch." raven talks back her eyes still glued to the screen.

i glance around the camp hoping to find june somewhere so i can beat their ass for getting my hair wet. but with no luck i sigh and sit down on a random log turning over my pocketknife in my hands.

i wish my dad was here to see this, how far we've come. how soon everybody from the ark is going to come down and rejoice to reunions. a tear escapes my eye and falls down to the floor before i could wipe it away. i take a breath and gather myself before i make a scene.

all this festiveness is putting me in a bad mood too, how ironic. they all hype up unity day to be some inspiring agreement about our future where everybody agreed. but in reality they had to blow up the thirteenth station because they didn't comply. the real version isn't very kid friendly.

"whoo! yeah! monty strikes again!" jasper comes out of his hissing tent with steam emerging smiling wide, and his signature goggles on. "call this batch unity juice! who's thirsty?"

he runs to the center of the camp with a huge jug in hand filled with 'unity juice' and pours it in whichever cups were put in front of him with the crowd forming.

i don't want any, not my cup of tea. instead i sit back and observe as he's enjoying his life on earth. it's nice to see him not terrified.

"hey! save me some!" sterling yells throwing off his strapped gun.

the chatter of the crowd is booming as i hear jasper say 'happy unity day' after filling each cup.

i look over on the outskirts of camp to see if i can find june once again, that sneaky motherfucker. instead i see octavia trying to carefully run away and escaping out of the front gates. i wonder what she's up to.

i notice finn is looking at the same scene play out. "you know where she's going?" i ask walking up next to him arms crossed looking confused but also concerned.
