Draco was in his dorm, laying on his bed, thinking, staring at nothing. He'd still been avoiding everyone when Harry started knocking on his door, asking him to come out, saying they needed to talk.

He didn't respond, letting Harry waste his own time, there was nothing to say to make everything better, nothing could make everything better, not even an apology.

Harry gave up opened the door, closing it behind him, Draco looked at him, he looked cold, he only had his shirt and sweater, not his robes, they were surprisingly warm, and his cheeks were tinted pink so he might have been outside.

No, he had definitely been outside, Draco looked closer, he was shivering, and the pink wasn't actually pink, it was almost red.

"Were you outside?" It was a silly question, he knew Harry had been outside, he contemplated bringing Harry to the hospital wing, but it didn't look too bad and there was always heating charms.

Harry nodded, why had he been outside? Draco sat up and asked him to come over, it felt like Harry never existed, it was a intense feeling too, but it almost made Draco appreciate him more.

"Here," Harry handed him a letter, addressed to him, but why did he have it? Did he have more letters Draco was supposed to be receiving?

Draco look the letter, it was from his mother, he hadn't been writing to her, maybe he should have been, but she was always so invasive, he knew she was just worried but he couldn't help but scoff at her.

"I was arguing with Parkinson, outside, she wouldn't let me go," Harry added, watching Draco look into the already opened letter.

The letter read,
Draco,
I've been sending you letters and you're not replying, listen, I know you don't completely forgive me but, I love you, alright? Take your time, you have every right to be mad at me. By the way, I divorced your father.

He hadn't been receiving letters, was someone keeping them from him? Was it Harry? Draco's hand fumbled as he picked up the envelope, why was his mother being so understanding, he imagined her being upset with him.

"Don't freak out over this, it's ok," Harry said, taking Draco's open hand into his, fortunately, he didn't realize what he was doing, he was too caught up in the moment.

It felt like a dream, he was feeling disconnected, he wanted space, but he had space, and it wasn't enough.

It was never enough for him.

What now? Draco looked up at Harry, he was so calm, so serene. They stared, fascinated by each other, especially their eye colour, each unique in their own way.

"Draco, write back to her," Harry said after minutes of staring, he'd used his first name, something that didn't sound right, I sounded so wrong.

Yet beautiful. "You need to go to the hospital wing, you're so cold," Draco said, pulling his eyes away to out the window, it'd finally started snowing a couple of days ago.

"No I'm fine, really," Harry said, yet his cheeks still burned with cold, he must have been out there for at least 2 hours.

"Potter, your cheeks are basically red, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get frostbite by touching you," Draco said, turning back to Harry, placing his hand on his cheek, it was piercingly cold.

"Please let me take you," Draco whispered, butterflies were in Harry's stomach now and he simply nodded before he was pulled out of the dorm quicker than he knew Draco could.
