Chapter Six - Stars

HEY YOU THERE! quick lil thing, mention of suicidal thoughts, if you want a summary just dm me ok? :)

It was midnight and Draco was on the astronomy tower, staring off at the stars, he remembered 5th year, being up here, having to kill dumbledore...

Well, he also remembered the little things, like how it was being under control of Voldemort. Pansy, thought he was suicidal, which, who wouldn't be?

That was traumatizing so traumatizing in fact, he pretended it never even happened. That's why he despised the dark mark.

That's why he scratched at it until it bled, especially now.

Week three of working with Voldemort, draco remembered one specific day...maybe that was suicidal but could he admit that now...

Draco was on the astronomy tower, it was a cold winter and he didn't want to do it anymore, the amount of stress killed him slowly.

He was staring over the railing at the Hogwarts ground. He furrowed his eyebrows as his mind asked him questions that scared him.

What's the fastest way to die?
Maybe, if I just wasn't here I'd be at peace, right?
What's it like being dead?

He shook his head, no, he was fine, he was going to do it, he was going to make his father proud.

Draco blinked, maybe they weren't suicidal thoughts but he guessed couldn't admit it, they definitely scared him.

He looked over at the Hogwarts grounds and shivered, he hoped he had changed, even a little, anything.

But maybe, he hadn't, maybe, he was just like his father. That made Draco want to throw up, it was exactly why he'd been terrified of having children or being in a relationship.

Just like your dad. That's what replayed in his head all day. The war had effected him badly, but it had effected everyone.

Draco sighed and turned around, towards the astronomy door, he shouldn't have even came up there, bad memories, bad flashbacks.

As he walked down the stairs he stopped about halfway. There was someone down on the level he was coming down on.

He carefully crept down the stairs quietly,
hoping he would make it before getting caught. He reached the last step and he got a look at them, they had jet black hair, Jesus.

Draco stepped off the last step and walked behind him before reaching up and tapped Harry on the shoulder.

Harry jumped and swiveled around, he looked on the brink of tears and it took everything in Draco to recoil, he hated emotions, especially on himself. But his enemy, it was weird like he shouldn't be seeing it.

Well, to be honest he really shouldn't be. "Why are you crying?" Draco asked, it was supposed to be more crude but it came out softer than he'd like to admit.

"Are you sure you're ok? People can get severely hurt when fainting, and not notice until they're in the worst of it," Harry asked, his eyes had flickered down to Draco's arm once more.

That caused slight annoyance to Draco, why did he have to keep doing that?

"I'm fine," Draco said, brushing off Harry's worries. "I'm serious, I would feel really guilty," Harry said, blinking away his tears.

Draco watched one tear rolled down his cheek and he didn't know if he should make a snarky comment or reassure him.

So he just looked at Harry's cheek with a hardened look, causing both boys inflicted feelings.

"You shouldn't be crying over me, I'm fine," Draco snapped, well, that ruined what he was actually going to say.

Harry shook his head and looked at Draco's left forearm that continued to be covered by his school uniform. "Why do you cover that?" Harry asked, pointing at Draco's arm.

Draco pulled it back gently but he looked upset, "Are you serious? Because! It's a reminder of all the innocent people that died because of Vol- the dark lord," Draco whispered furiously.

Harry, nodded and stepped backwards, looking up at Draco. "I'm going to bed," Harry said, turning to the stairs, walking down, leaving Draco with his thoughts.
