"𝐖-𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐓! 𝐒𝐀𝐘 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓?!" 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐀 exclaimed in shock, unable to believe what she was hearing Karolina say on the other end of the phone. Dragging her comb's bristles through her dangled brown locks, she pursed her lips together as she used her other hand to hold her phone to her ear, straining to listen to Karolina's voice over the sound of the blonde's music playing in the background.
"I'm serious, go check the news!"
"I believe you, I believe you," Thalia murmured defeatedly as Karolina sensed the other girl's discomfort. Thalia sat cross-legged on her bed, her person first-aid kit opened in front of her as she dabbed antiseptic cream on the gaping wound on her cheek, biting on the inside of her cheek to stop herself from wincing in pain. "I can't believe t-that s-she's dead. R-really dead."
"It doesn't make sense," Karolina concurred as Thalia tugged on the hem of her hoodie, pulling down her sweatpants properly as she kept a towel draped around her shoulders, wet hair resting on it as she continued to tend to her wound. "How did her body e-end up in the ocean? I mean, after what we saw, it doesn't add up!"
"Even what we saw doesn't add up," Thalia countered softly, grimacing slightly as she dabbed the blood away, hoping that regular medicine could treat whatever wound that dinosaur had left her with as she sighed quietly to herself. "D-do you think we could've saved her?" Thalia asked meekly, to which Karolina didn't respond instantly, wondering what she could even reply with.
"I don't know," Karolina replied breathily, exhaling shakily as Thalia shrugged indifferently, having expected a cryptic response. "I think...maybe, you know, if we f-find out what's actually happening, we can save other people," Karolina offered hopefully as Thalia nodded thoughtfully, considering Karolina's words carefully as she moved off her bed over to her study table, sinking into the chair as she switched on her computer to see a notification from WizChat.
"Did you get the WizChat notification?" Thalia queried softly as Karolina paused, switching on her tablet to check. "Chase wants to do a WizCall," Thalia added on to further explain.
