You and your crush met through a summer camp. Kids ages 8-14 come from all around the world for this camp. You were both 19 so you were aged out and became counselors.
*First day of camp*
"Welcome campers!" The old speakers rang all over the camp. "Please make your way to the admissions office to pick up your schedule! After that, head over to your assigned cabins and wait for your cabin counselor to tell you further instructions. Have a great day!" There were kids running around everywhere. You began guiding them to the office and helped the younger ones find their cabins.
As you were walking back to the cabin you're in charge of, someone tapped on your shoulder. It was Louis. Your heart skipped a beat.
"Hey (Y/n)!" He smiled his crooked smile that you love so much. You couldn't help but smile back.
"Hi, Louis... um, what's up?" You snapped out of your trance to have a normal conversation.
"Are you okay with running the kayaks later today?"
"Sure. Sounds good." You look down and feel your cheeks getting red.
"You know, I'm running the jet skis... maybe we could hang out during the break." He winked and you nodded a little too fast. Then you turn on your heels and squeal back to your cabin.
*Later that day*
All the campers were participating in bonding games for the rest of the day. Each cabin rotates through a station, and at each station, there's a counselor. Louis was running the jet ski races and you were running the kayak relay races.
You couldn't stop thinking about what Louis said. And how he winked at you! What does that mean?
There were ten minutes till the break. Louis was bringing in the jet skis. He had taken his shirt off. You couldn't help but stare at his perfectly tanned body. He looked up in your direction and you whipped your head away from him, hoping he didn't notice your stare.
When the last two groups came in, you gave out the prizes and pulled the kayaks in. Then you felt two hands on your shoulders, massaging them. You let out a long sigh.
"That feels amazing..." you close your eyes and let your head fall back on an awaiting shoulder. Then you hear a voice next to your ear.
"You're very tense. You need to relax..." it was Louis. You smile.
"I'm relaxed now. Thank you." Louis smiled and gently wrapped one arm around your waist and picked your legs up with the other. You kept your eyes closed but you still knew where he was taking you.
There was an old willow tree you liked to sit under and he had caught you reading there several times over the past few years. Louis leaned his head down close to your ear again.
"Keep your eyes closed." He put you down and sure enough you were sitting beneath the tree. You could feel the roots. His hand left your waist and he let go of your legs. You frowned slightly and you could hear Louis chuckle.
"Okay. Open your eyes." You gasped. There was a picnic basket on a blue checkered blanket, with flowers spread around it. He was sitting next to you, smiling. You threw your arms around his neck.
"What is all this?" You were still hugging him so he pulled away to answer.
"It's a picnic. In your favorite spot, with your favorite food, and your favorite person." He smirked. You blushed a little.
"I saw how you were looking at me earlier."
"Oh, I-"
"And I was glad you did because if it wasn't for that look I would've backed out of bringing you here." You were suddenly aware of the little space between you and Louis. He put one finger under your chin and lifted your face up to his. You close your eyes as he softly presses his lips up to yours.
It begins as an innocent kiss, but then he puts his hand on your lower back, pulling you closer and kissing you more.
You smile and give in to his request. Eventually, you pull away for air, but he just moves down to kissing your neck. You breathe heavily as he moves his head up to your ear.
"(Y/n)?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you"
"I love you too."
