I took a sip of my iced caramel macchiato as my eyes scanned a document flashed through the screen of my laptop. My head started to ache but I don't mind it because I have work to do.
I want to make sure that I will accomplish every single task on my list this week. Procrastination is not a word for me as it's not in my dictionary and I don't know it. I dislike being in a hurry when doing things, and it's better to be motivated and to be positive in starting a task early than ever.
But of course, it has to be neat and organize, including the correctness. I mean, you did pass everything early but there are errors/mistakes.
Wait, I forgot to briefly introduce myself. Hi, I'm (Y/N) (Y/L/N), a COO or Chief Operations Officer of a huge company here in Korea. The company was my dad's which he passed to me because I'm on the right age and right position to handle it.
It's incredible.
I was interrupted from my inner thoughts when a knock was heard. I startled a bit but was able to compose myself.
A young looking man walked inside as he adjust his suit, making him absolutely handsome and hot. My heart beats so fast at this moment even if I know him for years already. The way he whips his black hair to reveal the sharp features he have. I personally love his jaw and eyes. Those are the things that I adore other than his warm, kind heart and spirit. Let's include the stares that he always give because it gives me chills down my spine. I felt like I'm in a trap damn. JUst DamN.
He looked at me and gave a sweet smile. "Good afternoon jagiya. How's your lunch?"
Vernon pecked a kiss on my cheeks before caressing my hair. I smiled at him before saving my documents and shutting my laptop.
I stood up and wrapped my arms around his neck, staring at his beautiful brown orbs that are shining so brightly.
He lick his lips, staring at mines.
"It's great. My handsome husband cooked so well that my appetite was really satisfied. Good job!" I said, poking both of his cheeks. He blushed, shaking his head.
"Anything for my gorgeous wife. And I'm sorry if I wasn't able to have it with you. You know, I need to be attentive in the company and to do work."
I gave his lips a sweet kiss, "That's alright, I understand. Anyway, you always make me go weak. Like, literally. Very impressive." I heard his chuckle from behind.
I went towards the small refrigerator that I have which contains water and other beverages. I grabbed a water bottle and took a sip of it. My throat was kinda dry because of the coffee. I turned around and clicked my tongue as an idea popped in my head.
"You okay? Having thoughts right now?" Vernon asked as he took a seat on the chair where I was seated earlier. He tossed a gum that he just unwrapped to his mouth then chewed on it.
"Why not we go out and stroll at the park since we have been busy here lately. I need something to cool off my entire existence." I huffed, taking a seat on the sofa near the huge glass window. The view is so breathtaking with tall buildings, small people who are walking, birds flying and sun shining so brightly, adding up to it.
I felt a presence beside me. I turned my gaze towards Vernon with his arm around my shoulder. He sighed deeply as well, and pursed his lips while staring at our view. He slightly nodded and looked at me.
"That's a good idea."
I smiled as I heard him agreeing with me. I gave him a signal before we packed our things so that if our duty will end, at least we will just grab our stuffs and leave.
We were about to get ready to go to the nearest park which is our go-to ever since we started dating in college. Whenever we have problems with school works or if we have so much stress in us, we will not hesitate to contact each other just to meet at that park. Rants are never-ending things we talk about, and even though we're married and have stable jobs, we still rant.
But someone knocked on the door, and Vernon's PA peeked in and greeted as with a bow and smile, "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Chwe, sorry to disturb you but there is a meeting that you need to attend to."
I heard Vernon groaned as he pocketed his phone. Oh gosh, I just wanna relax for once!
"Do we really need to go?" I asked, pouting.
He nodded with a sad-smile, "Yes, Ma'am. The CEO and the COO have to be there for the updates of the other companies."
Vernon, on the other hand, shake his head. "Is it Dad?"
The PA nodded once again while fidgeting with his papers on his hands.
"Tell him, that the COO is not available, as well as the CEO because the CEO is going to have a date with his wife and they extremely need it." Vernon eyes were staring at me the whole time as I felt butterflies interrupt on my stomach. "My wife is my number one priority, it has been weeks since I catch up with her. For sure, Dad will allow that. Now, report that to him. Thank you for reminding us tho."
He nodded with a smile and said, "Alright CEO. Stay safe to the both of you. You are so sweet to the COO. Thank you."
We bid our goodbyes to him as he walked out of the room. I went towards Vernon as he opens his arms for me to be engulfed. He leaned forward as he kissed me passionately with his hands on my neck, making the kiss deeper. We both smiled in between, chuckled as well.
He quite pulled away and placed a strand of my hair behind my ear, "Damn you are so beautiful. I'm lucky to have you not only as my wife but as my best friend and my source of happiness as well."
"Same here. I love you very much."
"I love you more. And let's go before the sun will set. I can't wait to have the rest of my day with you, finally."
With that, we went out of the building and to the park. Then, had the best date ever with my partner.
I will not ask for more, my everything is already with me ever since the beginning.
