Missy's eyes opened slowly and she raised her arms over her head, stretching her limbs. The room dim from lack of sun because of the snow that had fallen last night and the snow that was supposed to fall today.

She groaned quietly, looking at her watch. Missy sighed, sitting up on the air mattress.

She ran a hand over her face as she looked towards Ashlyn, still sleeping. Quietly, Missy stood up off the bed and tiptoed to her bag.

She grabbed a pair of jeans, and a t-shirt. Missy slipped out of the room and into the bathroom, pulling on the clothes.

She shivered as the cold air hit her warm skin, pulling the clothes on quicker, in an effort to get her blood circulating, warming herself up.

Missy walked out of the bathroom, her pyjamas folded so she could slip them into her bag. She walked back into Ashlyn's room, catching her phone light up.

She slipped her clothes into her bag, looking at the message on the phone screen. She groaned quietly, thinking to herself about how it was too early to be getting messages.

Especially from EJ.

She type in the passcode, waiting for the screen to load. Missy clicked EJ's icon, pulling up the picture that was sent.

She chuckled quietly, seeing the picture was one of him, with his hair done already, captioned "Woke up like this."

Missy pulled the camera up, snapping a picture of herself. She typed in a quick message. "Lies."

She pushed her phone into her back pocket, grabbing a hoodie that was too big for her. She pulled it on, pulling her hair out, setting it behind her shoulders.

Missy pulled her phone out right as it lit up once more, and EJ's name popped up. She walked out of Ashlyn's room, curling up on the couch.

She opened the app, chuckling at EJ's message. A knock sounded at the door.  She opened the door, revealing none other than the devil himself.

It was really just EJ.

"Sorry, no liars allowed." She smiled, chuckling quietly as she leaned against the doorframe.

"C'mon let me in, it's cold out here." EJ pouted as he dramatically rubbed his hands together, shivering cartoonishly.

"Fine." She rolled her eyes, just as dramatically.

Missy climbed into the backseat of EJ's car, buckling up tightly before covering her mouth as a yawn escaped her mouth.

The ride to the school was fairly quiet, until Missy broke the silence.

"Am I the only one who low-key just wants someone for the holidays, like just for the holidays?" Missy looked out the window from the backseat before glancing at EJ and Ashlyn.

EJ looked at her from "I mean, I'm always available-"

"Oh no, no no,." Missy shook her head, sinking down into her seat. "You are sooo not my type."

EJ furrowed his brow, glaring at her. "Okay well then who is your type?"

"Leonardo DiCaprio."

"You know," Ashlyn turned around, facing Missy. "If you weren't so dead-set on avoiding commitment you could already be in a relationship."

Missy looked at EJ's eyes in the mirror, right as he glanced back at her. "Look I just want to be with someone for the holidays, okay? Is that too much to ask for from the universe?"

"Yes." Ashlyn and EJ answered in unison. They glanced at each other, laughing.
