(I deeply apologise for last chapter. It was a mess and clearly my writing has seen better days. I will try to make it up to you guys!! EXTRA LONG CHAPTER!!!)
I was sat at the back of Zims base, relaxing into a chair, out of view from his leaders. They were on call right now and Zim was more than determined to tell them all about his plans. Whatever they were.
My friend was covered in burns and bruises. It took an absurd amount of time to calm him down and to remove the contents from his skin. A mentally draining experience, I must confess.
"My Tallest, a new child attacked me with meat! My conclusion: She's in love with me!" Yelled Zim, clearly disgusted by the idea.
I wouldve laughed had I not had the feelings that Zim appeared to loath. I also would have spoken up to rebuke his claims if his leaders were not here.
He paces around on the platform, contemplating on any benefits that may come out of it. But really? What benefits could come out of Tak having feelings for him, as he claims. Besides, it's not like he feels the same wa-
"This may prove valuable, as I can use the child to learn more about human af-FECTION!" He spits out, treating the words like poison on his tongue.
An expression of horror had washed over my face, controlling a boiling rage to build from the pit of my stomache. I had to take tight grip of the couch arm, almost ripping the fabric on it, to keep myself from storming off and allowing for the anger to take control of my actions.
"which, from what I have been able to determine, is pain-based." He finishes, causing me to release the fabric of the couch.
Of course he misunderstood. Hes not used to anything like this. I am sure that he has no idea what it actually means to care for someone like that. After all, everything he told me about the armada never once mentioned familiarity with another irken. In fact, the only thing Zim had remotely close to parents was cold, unfeeling robot arms. Not exactly the kind of affection a child would need.
A high pitched voice spoke up, though it was distinctly male. "Um, that's great, Zim! Sounds great."
I tried to get a better look at the screen without being in range of the camera. I couldnt see very much, but the most I could see were two puppets. One of them flailing their arms wildly. It was rather comical.
The high pitched voice had spoke once more.
"Don't worry, that's just my arms flailing and... giggling." He claimed, receiving a punch to the face from the puppet arms.
"Stop it!" He yelled below him, looking at whoever was behind the couch with him.
All this did was earn him another punch to the face. "Stop it!" He yelled again.
It was funny to watch and clearly the two leaders had a somewhat close relationship. I couldnt help but smile. And here I thought they were complete jerks. I guess they can be nice once in a while.
Zim, however, didnt seem to take notice of the puppets or the tallests messing around. Either he didnt care or he didnt realise. My guess would have to be the latter.
He continued his, barely returned, conversation.
"And once I am done with the child, I will destroy her. That should be neat!" He explained, elongating the last word.
The same leader spoke, once again.
"Okay zim" he started, receiving another punch from his companion. But he didnt react. "Well, we have another call"
Zim signed off and ended the call with his leaders, completely unaware of my approaching.
"Zim..." I spoke, causing him to let out a yelp of suprise and glare in my direction.
