Elijah's POV:1 year and 5 months ago...
I slowly groaned as I opened my eyes. The bright lights shone across the room. Slowly I got used to it and opened by eyes widely. I looked around and found out I was in a white room.
"Ahh i see you are finally awake." Someone said. I whipped my head to the door. A doctor? Am I in the hospital?
"Why am I here?" I asked.
"Oh you were in a 2 month coma after we found a heartbeat." My heart dropped. Coma? What happened?
"What happened?" I asked. I looked around and didn't see any family in the room.
"There was an explosion and only you got out. Sorry for your losses." He said sincerely but with an hint of something else. I looked at him closely. Something in me just didnt want to believe it. My whole family dead? You couldn't even step foot into our house without one of us killing you. So why was he lying?
I faked my sadness and cried a little to make it believable. Maybe my high school drama classes did work out. He walked out of the room and closed the door. I tried to get up but my legs felt like jelly. Maybe this was harder than I thought.
2 months later...
I was soon informed that I was going to be living with Selena and I have never been more angry in my life. I walked the through the massive front door of her house and there she stood waiting for me smiling widely.
"Elijah. My baby, how are you dear?" She squealed hugging me.
"Get off me you ugly bitch." I sneered pushing her off. I wasn't going to hug an abusive disappointment of a mother.
"Darling why? What did I do? Did I hurt you?" She asked.
"I hate you. I always have. I just hate you 10x more because you abused Ana. You are a disappointment. You and Isaiah." I roared. She faked her sadness but you could see she wasn't regretful. I rolled my eyes and walked past her.
"I'm confused. Who is Ana?" She asked behind me. I whipped around.
"Its Cariana to you. You don't get to say her nickname. You don't deserve it. You aren't dumb. You know who she is. You were the one who pushed her out into this cruel world." I snapped. She was shocked. She showed a bit of remorse before she put on her angry facade.
"I do get to call her Ana because I did push her but we don't speak of her in this household. Let her rest in peace." She snapped back. I rolled my eyes and walked up the stairs.
"Rot in hell!" I shouted.
"You'll regret saying that Elijah." She yelled from the bottom of the stairs.
"Yeah yeah whatever." I waved her off. Maybe I should find my room.
3 months later...
"Get up you selfish brat!" She screamed. The men kicked me in the stomach again. I fell back to the ground and started coughing blood.
"How the fuck can I get up if you are constantly kicking me down? Jesus make it make sense." I snapped spitting out blood. The men dragged me up and pulled me over to Selena.
"I know what will make you shut up. Maybe we should try The Ana." She excitedly said clapping her hands. The Ana?
The men dragged me onto the chair and tied me down.
"See I named this piece of torture after Ana an-"
"Cariana." I cut her off.
"Like I was saying Ana since I used this a lot on her. It was quite amazing to watch actually her crying in pain." Selena smiled as she pulled out the electrified stick. My eyes widened. Ana went through this.
