The train roared by leaving Harry's unruly hair more tangled. Ah, Hogwarts. The third year of it. Aunt Petunia had it with Harry when he made a relative expand like a balloon during the summer break. Harry then remembered he could leave his worries behind as he stood on the nine and three-quarter platform. The area was busy as usual with children and parents rushing to get on the Hogwarts Express. Among the crowd Harry saw a peculiar pair.

One of them was a boy with blue hair. Harry knew from his muggle history textbooks that the child was wearing outdated clothes. At his side was an adult that appeared to be his guardian. The man's impressive figure towered over the boy. When the man turned around Harry was stunned. Ebony hair framed the  man's deathly pale angular face. His maroon eyes almost looked scarlet against his color pallet. His thin lips
curled into a grin when he saw Harry. The smile was cocky, secretive, playful, coy, but most of all, it was sinister.

"Hey, mate! Ready to do more pranks?"

It was Ron and close behind him was Hermione.

"Ron! Don't give Harry more ideas! School hasn't even started!" Hermione reproached.

"Yeah, yeah. Anyways, did you get my letter with the article of Black?" Ron asked.

Harry did remember. Near the end of the summer, Ron sent a letter about the Weasleys winning a lottery and a clipping of a newspaper. Sirius Black broke out of Azkaban. It was reported he murdered thirteen people with a curse in order to escape. Everyone in the magical world became afraid.

"Did you mention Sirius Black?"

the pair came over to them.

"Yeah. He's the only person who's been able to escape the prison." Ron said a bit too esthetically. "It's supposed to be the most heavily guarded prison too!"

"For Merlin's sake, Ron! This is a murder we're talking about here!" Hermione scolded.

"Why are you not on the proper sides of the platform?" the tall man inquired.

"This is platform nine and three quarters. Are you by any chance going to Hogwarts?" Hermione asked.

"No, unless you give us some papers explaining what it is," the boy said.

Hermione fished her pockets and gave some pamphlets to the boy. He skimmed it quickly and handed it to his companion. The man briefly looked it over and the duo left Harry's group.
The trio didn't say anything else until they boarded the train. Inside a compartment, the candy cart lady came.

"I'm sure you children have heard about Black. Don't worry, the headmaster is doing all he can to protect the students. Now then I got some new candy on the menu: they're Funtom candy. I've heard nothing but great reviews about them so I decided to add it to our menu!" she said cheerily.

"Ooh, I'll have some! Man, they look so good!" Ron said.

"Harry and I also like to try them too, ma'am," Hermione sweetly.

As they were eating the candy, the compartment door slid open, allowing the boy from earlier enter followed by the man.

"I'm sorry I have to sit with you but no other cars were available," the tall man apologized.

"It's fine let's just-," the blue-haired boy stopped his sentence as he saw the trio and the pile of candy. "We meet again so shortly. Not surprised," he said.

"You're here?!" Hermione exclaimed.

"Yes. I submitted a letter to the headmaster. It was approved," the boy explained.

"But how did you get it so fast? Letters usually aren't received until at least a day later and if the Headmaster Dumbledore then it'll be more than a miracle that it was received, reviewed, and replied in a month!" Hermione exclaimed.

"If I can't complete a simple task, what kind of person would I be?" the man asked.

Ron glanced at Harry. Harry stared back, not believing his ears. The boy by now and settled himself comfortably on the seat facing Hermione. The man opted to remain standing near the door like a British royal guard. A bodyguard then, Harry concluded. Suddenly the lights on the train went out causing the children to panic. Harry fumbled for his wand and shouted LUMOS! Immediately the lights came back on but to Harry's surprise, a decaying body in a ragged-hooded-cloak appeared. Scenes rapidly flashed through his eyes. Before passing out, there was a woman pleading to a cloaked figure to kill her instead of a baby.
