The Sirius Black case was solved but Ciel couldn't declare they were done yet: the dementors surrounded Harry and Black too tightly for anyone's comfort and none were near or prepared to help them. Just as Ciel was about to call for Sebastian, golden light blinded him. When it faded it away, no dementors were in sight. He saw Sebastian carry Harry while Lupin held Ron, and ironically, Snape had Hermione. No doubt they were taking the Gryffindors to the infirmary.

"Mr. Michaelis, what about Ciel?," Black asked uncertainly as they passed him.

Sebastian studied Ciel briefly and continued walking.

"He is fine, Master Black. It is Professor Lupin who needs your aid. Make sure Ronald does not move too much. I fear his leg is severely wounded," Sebastian directed.

Guilt overcame Sirius' features but he quickly sided himself next to Lupin. Ciel chuckled as he watched those two struggle to balance Ron between them. Once Ciel was alone, he contemplated everything that had happened ever since coming here. He knew that he had to inquire about getting back to his timeline, words he never dreamed of using. Next, he drew up a mental letter explaining the Black case and assured that it would be no threat to Great Britain. Satisfied, Ciel made his way out of the woods. As he came from the clearings, he saw Malfoy waiting in the clearing.

"I knew you would show up eventually. You are everywhere that those three are. Quite sad to see you aren't injured like them. Maybe we can change that," Malfoy said.

"If you're asking me duel with you then say it like a man," Ciel challenged.

Instead of reacting to him, Draco walked away. Ciel followed and realized they were going to fight on the quidditch field. Draco got his wand out and looked at Ciel expectantly. Ciel calmly reached into his robe and grabbed firm of his wand. They stood off an equal distance from each other.

"You realize this is foolish, Draco," Ciel stated.

"I don't care! I must beat you!" Draco snapped.

"You must beat me? In that case, I won't hold back at. After all, I hate losing," Ciel smiled.

"Fine, I'll show you who I am!" Draco snarled.

Without further ado, the duel started. Draco casted a large fiery sphere that came down upon Ciel. Realizing he could not move fast enough to avoid the assault, Ciel mentally conjured a large shield to block the blow. With no time to waste, Ciel tried to think of something and suddenly a life-size black chess piece stood between them.

"What good is a game right now, Phantomhive? Are you a baby? Cry for mummy then!" Draco jeered.

Ignoring the taunt, Ciel focused on the conjured object. He noticed the chess piece was a knight. The piece then quickly shifted into a real horse with a knight atop of it. With its lance, it charged at Draco and pierced the Draco's left shoulder before it dissipated in the air like mist. Both children were too stunned to speak, the wound being secondary after the knight. Finally, Draco directed his attention to Ciel, ignoring the pain of his left shoulder and shouted a spell that lodged a an arrow. Ciel's mind, still set on matters of chess, brought forth a queen piece. As it came to stand between the child and the projectile, the smooth black material transformed into striking red cloth material. To Ciel's surprise and horror, the queen piece became Madam Red. As the arrow pierced her chest, it was a reminiscent when she was murdered by a particular grim-reaper's scythe. For his part, Malfoy immediately thought he had accidentally murdered a bystander. His dread vanished along with Ciel's protection. Seeing that Ciel was vulnerable, Malfoy did a spell that sent a bolt of lightning on Ciel. Ciel writhed in pain and shock.

"You win, Malfoy!" he cried through his teeth.

Draco grinned as he pranced over to his opponent. He knelt down to get savor his victory. At that moment, Ciel released his wand he still had and with his left hand, brought forth the sword he used earlier. The sound of flesh, bones, and organs being violated filled the early hours of the morning.

"Gah! Nn-no! How could you? It's a-gainst the-e ru-rules!" Draco sputtered.

"I don't play by the rules," Ciel calmly said and yanked his sword out.

The violent movement sent a wave of blood rushing out of Malfoy's mouth. Both of their Hogwarts attires were soiled by it. With the last of his strength, Malfoy tore Ciel's eyepatch off. The dawning of the new day made Ciel's sapphire blue eye be tinted with purple; the same hue that matched the other exposed eye. That was the last sight Malfoy saw of the living world before he collapsed lifeless on Ciel. Disgusted, Ciel pried the body off of him.

"Infinity points off of Slytherin."

"Shut it, Sebastian. I merely disposed a piece of sod," Ciel mumbled.

Sebastian sighed and scooped the boy up. If Ciel were not so weary, he would have profusely protested but he was glad at that moment.

"Have I fulfilled this role well, my lord?" Sebastian asked softly.

"Overdone it," Ciel whispered before drifting into a blissful slumber.

"I am honored then," Sebastian said to the bright sun.
