Ciel's position as an earl and being the queen's watchdog came with an unusual agenda. Aside from the formal duties society expected the young nobleman to uphold, the queen's concerns for extreme heinous crimes be tended by unorthodox actions. But despite the oddities that Ciel has come to see as the norm, being teleported to the next century thoroughly shocked the aristocrat.
On one inconspicuous day, Sebastian, his butler, handed Ciel a letter. The envelope was sealed with the Crown which indicated the contents were of high importance. A clipping was the first thing that came from the envelope. The second item was the letter itself in which Her Majesty explained the relevancy of the clipping. Several days ago, one of the Charles was taking a short cut through an alley at the East End of London. The continuous flapping of a newspaper annoyed the queen's personal bodyguard greatly so he took the newspaper. The formatting of it was not like the others produced in Great Britain. The headline read a mass murder broke out of Azkaban (a jail that certainly isn't in the records). Now this didn't alarm Charles too much and was about discard it when the picture of a cloaked person began to move. Charles then showed the newspaper to the the queen who charged Ciel to solve the Sirius Black murder case and bring forth an explain action to the animated photograph.
That afternoon, master and servant went to East London. They peered into every alley, their target a nondescript garbage bin.
"Eh, it was your normal beat-up tin bin. Nothing special about it," Charles said when Ciel went to Birmingham palace for clarity.
"There are numerous bins matching that description!" Ciel snapped.
"Exactly! Why did you bother to come here to ask me that? What? Did you believe that I saw a bin made of gold studded with jewels?" Charles demanded.
"Bloody git. Now look what I have to do," Ciel grumbled as he dug into a random bin. His servant was on a different side of the alley, likely doing the same thing. Ciel pinched his nose when he realized that he will need to dig further in bin after tossing out numbers of miscellaneous things. As he reached deeper into the bin, his upper half outweighed his lower half of the body. He fell straight into the bin. Ciel expected his feel some resistance but after a few seconds, he started to wonder why until he was chuted to the ground. Dizzily, Ciel got up, only to be assaulted with cacophony of noises which ranged from people talking, children crying, footsteps, luggage wheels, and high pitch sounds of trains screeching on tracks. Just as Ciel realized he came out from an alley to a train station, Sebastian appeared, his exit more graceful than Ciel's. Annoyed, Ciel went to nearest stand and grabbed a pamphlet . This train station was the same one he and Sebastian took when they did the Noah's Ark Circus case! Then something else caught his eye.
"What the blazes! This is almost a century off!" Ciel hissed.
"Further reasons to look into Her Majesty's concern," Sebastian quipped.
Ciel glared at his butler but the servant ignored him and opted for looking around their surroundings. His observations bore fruit as he saw some people running into a brick wall located between platforms 9 and 10. He tapped his young master's shoulder and nodded toward the wall was.
"I believe that we can get some more information from that red-headed lady over there with her children," Sebastian said.
Ciel casted a baleful look at the butler but reluctantly followed Sebastian's suggestion.
"Hello there, boys! What can I do for you?" the lady asked once they were near.
"Where does this wall lead to?" Ciel asked with a gesture.
"Oh my, so you have noticed that we can go through it. Well, it won't hurt to tell you some of it as you aren't blind to it. It leads to a school for wizards and witches call Hogwarts. Maybe you enroll next year if your father permits," she answered.
