Bette and Tina had been avoiding their friends for about a week now. They were both feeling like they needed to connect, now that Bette’s job seemed to be taking up all of her time and Tina wasn’t exactly free either. They had been missing each other all week, and didn’t have time to be together let alone meet their friends. They decided to just stay in and reconnect - a few times, in fact.
It was a Saturday night and they were watching a silly show in bed, after having eaten a delicious meal Tina had made them. Bette insisted she didn’t, though, because she felt bad for having Tina cook all the time. She didn’t want her girlfriend to feel like, just because she was a chef, she had to “work” at home too. But Tina insisted that Bette ate something healthy and home cooked instead of them ordering junk food like they sometimes did. They were now having a glass of wine and enjoying each other’s company while watching the silliest sitcom.
“Oh my God, I can’t believe you laughed at that,” Bette commented, teasing Tina. She thought pretty much anything would get her girlfriend laughing and she… well, for her it’d have to be something more elaborate.
Tina looked at Bette and arched her brow. “That was funny! Come on, even you have to admit that.”
Bette shook her head.
“What? Stop judging me,” Tina complained, equally teasing.
It was Bette’s turn to laugh. “You’re adorable.” She loved it. She loved seeing Tina laugh at the silliest things; she loved how easy it was for Tina to just… laugh. Such a free, carefree and loving soul. She loved that about Tina, and that is the main reason she agreed to watch these stupid sitcoms, just for her girlfriends’ reaction really.
“You know what? You don’t know how to appreciate good quality comedy, Bette. They don’t teach that at journalism school.”
Bette smirked at her. “I’m sure you went through a very difficult course of comedy in your years as a chef, though, right, Tee?”
Tina rolled her eyes at her playfully. “You’re an ass.”
“You love me.”
“I guess so.” Tina said nonchalantly.
Bette put her wine glass on her bedside table. “You guess?”
By this time, the sitcom was already forgotten. They were far from paying attention to anything but each other. “I would be more sure if you weren’t so…” She tried to finish her sentence but couldn’t quite think of the best adjective.
“So what?” Bette asked, her tone already shifting to a sexy and challenging one. She got closer to Tina and put Tina’s wine glass on her bedside table as well.
“So… Annoying.” Bette laughed, for that was the most ridiculous thing Tina could have come up with.
“How do I… annoy you, exactly?” She asked, staring at her girlfriend, whose eyes were already completely filled with lust.
“You’re annoying me right now. With your…” Tina tried to finish her sentence but this time Bette interrupted her by clashing her mouth on Tina’s, entangling her in a very profound kiss.
They started some serious making out right then and there, as Bette removed Tina’s top and Tina didn’t seem to remember why Bette was so damn annoying anymore. When Bette’s hand was about to travel into Tina’s panties, though, somebody buzzed the door.
