Chapter 9🖤

(y/n)'s POV

I woke up the next morning when I heard Tooru shouting me, "(y/n)! Hurry up I made breakfast!" I jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen where Tooru was holding a plate of pancakes (Or a different breakfast if you don't like pancakes) and I immediately thanked him before taking the plate.

We both sat and ate our breakfast in the dining room. After a few minutes, Iwazumi arrived and sat down to speak with us while we ate.

"(y/n) are you okay with being alone today? Tooru is coming to my house and I don't want you to be alone if you don't want to," He asked me.

"Oh yeah I'll be fine, I have someone coming over to work on a project later anyway," as soon as I said this Tooru looked up,

"You have someone coming over? Who?" He sounded far too excited,

"U-uh just a classmate," I told him but he didn't seem to believe me. Not long after we had finished eating, my phone started ringing.

"(y/n)? Who's 'Angry Bumblebee'?" I heard Tooru ask from the other room. I quickly ran into the room and grabbed my phone before running back out.

I answered the phone once I'd left the room.
"H-hey Kyotani," I managed to say despite being out of breath.

"Hey (y/n), can I come over now? I've got nothing to do so I thought I'd ask?" He sounded tired but calmer than usual.

"Yeah sure, Tooru's leaving soon so you can come over, I'll get everything ready now." I started heading to my bedroom to grab my laptop.

"Thanks, can you message me your address so I can set off?"

"Yeah, of course. See you soon" I made it to my bedroom and grabbed my laptop, a note book and a pen.

"Bye" He hung up immediately after saying goodbye. I put my things on the dining room table.

I sent him a text telling him my address and got drinks and snacks to put on the table with my laptop and my notebook so that Kyotani and I would have them for while we're working.

I got a text from Kyotani telling me that he was on his way and wouldn't be long. I rushed to my room to change out of my pajamas.

I changed into (outfit of your choice) and fixed my hair before heading back downstairs. I went back to talk to Tooru and Iwazumi but they were getting ready to leave and said goodbye as soon as I walked in.

Before they left Tooru told me he'd be staying at Iwazumi's for the night and reminded me to lock the door once my friend leaves.

I sat on the couch to watch TV while I waited for Kyotani. After a couple minutes I heard a knock on the door, I turned off the TV and ran to answer it.

I opened the door to see Kyotani in sweatpants and a hoodie. "Hey," He said as I gestured for him to come inside."Hi, follow me," I shut the door and we walked to the dining room. Kyotani got his things out of his backpack and sat beside me on the table.

We started working on the presentation and I tried to start conversations with him but he didn't seem interested so I gave up.

After an hour, we decided to have a break and eat some snacks.

"(y/n)?"He turned to me and looked absolutely exhausted,
"Yeah?"

"Can we watch a movie or something, I need to relax, I'm kind of tired?" I could hear how little energy he had.

"Of course! Come on," I grabbed his hand and pulled him to the couch and handed him the remote, "put on whatever you want."

He put on (favorite horror movie) but didn't let go of my hand, causing me to panic and try pull my hand away.

Kyotani's grip was far stronger than mine and he held onto my hand, so all my force pulled me closer to him instead of pulling my hand away.

I expected him to move away from me but he layed back into the couch and leant onto me.

I tried to ignore how flustered I was and tried to focus on the movie. Despite how nervous it made me at first, Kyotani being beside me managed to calm me down after a while.

After a while there was a jumpscare in the movie and it scared me enough for my entire body to flinch. Kyotani saw this and let go of my hand.

I felt far more vulnerable when he let go of my hand but that didn't last long because he quickly put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him.

"(y/n), can I ask something?" He spoke alot softer than usual, and because of how close we were, I felt my entire body shudder at the sound of his voice.
