cats who are sick so far:
Leafstripe (gc)

Algaepool's POV:

Algaepool breathlessly fought a massive badger. Her broken paw stung furiously, her ripped ear hanging by a string of flesh, burning horribly. As a badger ran away, Foxshatter and Eelcreek ran after it. Tawnystripes was dead, how many more cats would join Starclan today? Cloudypaw and Dappledpaw were running to Windclan for a patrol of help. Everyone in Riverclan was caught off guard. Brindlestar told them last night that Littleshade recieved a sign, but she didn't decipher it. She felt exhausted, blinking, then a badger ran up. She clawed the badger's striped snout, satisfaction warming her when blood pooled. Her claw hooked into the badger's fur, making it stand still. Her legs collapsed under her when another heavy weight landed on top of her.
Eelcreek's dead body was limp in a shallow pool just at the camp entrance. Creamleaf was on top of the Wet Rock, a large gash slit down her stomach. Barkleaf and Blazeheart were fighting a tiny badger, it looked almost like it had just left it's mother.
" Get off of her!" She heard Owlwing's hiss as the badger got pulled off of her. Ivyshine was protecting the medicine den, the medicine cats were already treating cats. Ivyshine got caught by the leg, getting tossed into a tree where you could hear her leg snap. A massive badger broke in.
Algaepool froze when she heard a loud shriek coming from the medicine den.
" That's Littleshade! " She gasped.
A loud yowl, from who sounded like Littleshade, came from the medicine den.
" Starclan help me! " Littleshade screeched. Her throat bubbled with horror at the screech.
Brokenheart and Foxshatter ran to the den, where more cries came. A badger stormed up to her and Coldtail, who were still recovering from the last one. Coldtail darted in front of her, distracting it long enough for her to dash behind it so it would spin around, where she clawed it's muzzle.
The badger let out a cry of pain, and fell to the ground due to a large gash on it's neck.
Cloudypaw and Dappledpaw burst through the camp entrance. A river of cats streamed into the camp: stronger, fresher warriors.
Whiskerstar, Littleshine, Redflare, Hawkbeak...
Windclan had come to help! Three badgers immediately came running from the medicine den where Cloverpaw and Burnteyes were chasing it. Hawkbeak and Darkstorm joined in, chasing it out of camp. Burnteyes' fur was caked with dirt and blood,

All the badger, a whole clan of them, were fleeing through the camp entrance.
She couldn't feel relieved, her clan mates could be dead, she already knew the ones who were, such as Tawnystripes, Aloewing, Eelcreek, possibly Littleshade, and there were definitely more.
Willowfoot guided Leafstripe to the elders' den, her eyes narrowed as if she weren't sure all the enemies were gone. Cactusshine followed, moments later Amberbreeze, Oatfur and Flowerstem padded in. Burnteyes came up to her, filled with horror and fear.
" Where's Lilyflower? " The deputy rasped. " Cloudypaw? Dappledpaw? " Burnteyes scanned the clearing, Lilyflower and the two apprentices nowhere to be seen.
She remembered Oatfur telling her that he was taking the queens out, and the younger apprentices.
" I think I just saw Lilyflower lay down on a rock, as for Cloudypaw and Dappledpaw, I saw them leave camp with Oatfur and the other queens. " She informed the frantic tom.
Burnteyes visibly relaxed, his shoulders sagging with relief; when he found his mate, he collapsed next to her, and started licking a cut on his shoulder.
She whimpered when her torn ear finally gave way, and the torn flesh fell to the ground.
Algaepool almost fainted at the sight of it, bloody, torn.
She could feel warm blood welling on her ear. Her paw quickly pressed the flesh into the ground, burying it with dirt. Lakestripe was telling everyone where to go, near the Wet Rock, near the warriors den, on whoever broke or sprained a bone to go where Ivyshine sat.
Algaepool sat at the edge of the clearing, gazing at the wreck of her clan's camp, whatever was left of it anyways. A thin sliver of the moon showed trampled shells, what they used to decorate their dens. She could still hear the trampling of badgers as they lumbered away.
" Get to Lakestripe, she's going to tell you where to go. " Creekclaw spoke into her ear, making her flinch. She felt relifeved that her brother was still alive, because after the badgers left he wasn't limp on the ground, and she didn't see him leave with the queens and elders and kits.
She nodded. " You're right. " Algaepool meowed quietly. She didn't want to leave Coldtail's side, but she'd blanked out for so long, he was already at the Wet Rock, cats with bad scratches. At this moment, Brindlestar was getting treated for her sprained paw.

Burnteyes got up from Lilyflower's side, both of them were now resting peacefully near the warriors den, their wounds treated with herbs, berries, and cobweb.
Everyone's fur was ruffled, and eyes filled with fear in thoughts of a badger still hiding somewhere in their camp.

(If you're wondering what is wrong, Owlwing used to be super close to Algaepool, and some day wanted to confess his feelings; a squirrel x bramble thing yknow?) im gonna try and make it seem like a bramble sqirrel relationship

On the cleft where herbs were kept, next to it, Foxshatter was curled up in a nest of bracken and moss. His head was neatly on top of his two paws, and his tail had globs of herb webbed onto it. On the other side of the cleft, lay Oneclaw. When she came into the den, the tom lifted his head, his eyes fogged with sleep.
" Does Breezebird need me? " The tom almost got to his paws, when he must've remembered his dislocated leg.
She shook her head.
" Is everything ok? "
Her paw lifted off the ground. " It will be. " She quickly looked around the den for Lakestripe, but found her outside, taking care of Ivyshine's broken, twisted leg.
Lakestripe had bags under her eyes, symbolizing how tired she was. Her blue eyes now came to her. The small medicine cat flinched, " Oh! " Mallowkit came up, a bundle of herbs in her mouth. She didn't notice the kit when she was in the medicine den, and they didn't speak to each other.
" Thanks, Mallowkit. " Lakestripe's eyes brightened with affection. " Brindlestar! Burnteyes! Come get yourselves treated! " Lakestripe yowled. The white she-cat picked up some marigold, and started chewing the yellow petals into a poultice.
Burnteyes came over first, leaning on Brindlestar. " Lay down. " Lakestripe instructed, putting poultice onto a long scar on his stomach. " Would you like some poppy seeds? " Lakestripe offered.
" No, I'm fine, I wouldn't want to fall asleep while assigning hunting patrols. " Burnteyes cracked the joke, making Lakestripe purr in amusement. Algaepool almost let out a laugh, but the pain on her lip was too immense.
Algaepool could hear Owlwing's sweet meow in her ear. " Hey. " She smiled at the tom.
" Algaepool, your turn. " Lakestripe looked exhausted, Mallowkit looked asleep on her paws. Her paws felt dead as she walked over to Lakestripe for get her wounds checked. Marigold poulctice was being splattered on her stinging scratches. All the kits, when they came back to camp, looked traumatized. " Would you like some poppy seeds to ease the pain? You should come back every day so I can check that ear. " It felt like moons until she finally snapped back into reality.
" Yes please. " Four tiny black seeds were nudged in front of her, after she and Owlwing went to the warriors den taking a fish with them.

She gulped down some of the juicy fish. " Are you badly hurt? " Algaepool quietly asked Owlwing. The tom's tail was torn, and patches of his fur were missing. His eye had a huge scratch over it, and his claw was torn.
Moments after they finished their fish, sleep crashed over her like a black wave.
