3rd September

Milluki snorted midway while drinking his orange juice, shocked at what the girl in front of him just said.

"You did what??"

Kira did not need to repeat herself as she sips on her hot coffee.

"You used Great-great grandpa's Time Heist technique??"

"Please lower your voice," Kira said calmly. There are already a few pairs of eyes on them now.

She doesn't know why she told Milluki about her using Maha Zoldyck's Time Heist technique. Part of her was annoyed because her 'vacation' was being cut short. And Milluki has ought to know how much it cost for her to be in Yorknew now.

The Time Heist is a manipulation and emission type technique that was created by the oldest Zoldyck member, Maha. Exactly why he created this technique was still a mystery.

The name says it all. It's the manipulation of time. The technique allows the user to turn something back to its previous state or accelerate its time in order to apply changes that have not happened yet.

The user must have a tremendous time-based control, able to control the flow of time on a small or massive scale.

On small scale, just like what Kira did to the mother Laramidia's wound, speed up her healing process so that she can continue to hunt for her still-growing cubs.

At a large scale, the user can rewind time to undo an entire event.

However, whether you like it or not, the use of Time Heist is contrary to the natural order of things and is extremely dangerous as it can break the natural flow of time and create alternate timeliness.

There's where the Conditions came into the picture.

When Maha Zoldyck created Time Heist, he knew that manipulating the natural flow of time is a 'crime'. Setting limitations to it only seem fair. That is, decreasing the user's lifespan every time the technique was used.

The user's time-based control plays the most important part here. The larger the scale, the larger amount of lifespan that will be shortened.

That is the Conditions.

This is the reason Kira never wanted to use the technique in the first place.

Even for someone that's clueless about nen most of the time like Milluki Zoldyck knows not to mess with Time Heist; and he's sitting in front of Kira, staring at her face, silently judging and scolding her.

"It was a small scale of time-based control that I've used. It's most likely that my lifespan has been reduced by half an hour." Kira said while avoiding Milluki's intense stare.

The boy wallops up his whole steak and chew them aggressively, then proceeds to talk with a mouthful.

"You can't think too lightly of your own life!"

Milluki paused to swallow up the content in his mouth.

"You can't just throw away your life by prioritizing others. You know, you could just tell me that you will be occupied for a few more days before heading to Yorknew."

Kira gave a sarcastic amused smirk at Milluki's words. Particularly at the concerned tone, he was using.

All the Zoldycks never really care about their employees.

"Hey, did you hear me?" Milluki called out to her once again.

Kira finished up her Coffee in one go.

"Using Time Heist was inevitable. Because right after your call, I've received another-"

"From Papa, I know."

Kira nods.

"You're here just to bid for that Greed Island game, right? Listen here, don't go anyway tonight. Stay in your hotel room. In fact, right after you've finished up this meal, head straight back to your room."

"But I still need to buy the catalog.."

"Well then return as soon as you've bought it."

Milluki nodded. "It's still quite early for the..."

He looks around him to see if anyone is looking at them before he whispers

"Mission... What are you going to do during your spare time."

Kira huffed, crossing her arm over her chest and lean back on her chair.

"I'll walk around the city. A little surveying won't hurt. Plus, your brother Killua might be around here too since he also wanted that game. Chances are, he and his friends are probably busy finding extra money for the entrance fee to the auction house."

Kira took out a paper flyer that was folded neatly from her jeans pocket and handed it to Milluki, who unfolds it.

"Wait- it's a flyer of wanted people. And they're-"

"The Phantom Troupe. I found them on the streets. It's literally everywhere." Kira said grimly.

"But- Kil won't do that. Papa told us not to mess with them."

"You've got to remember. He is with his friends now. Isn't one of them were from the Kurta clan?"

"The clan that was brutally massacred by The Phantom Troupe?"

"There's a high probability that your brother would get himself involved, whether for the bounty reward or for helping his friends."

Milluki grips the flyer tightly upon hearing Kira's words.

"Are you- telling me that you're going to tail the troupe members?"

"No. I wouldn't want to mess with the Spiders too; No... not for now."

"Then what are you going to do?"

The white-haired girl got lost in thought for a second. "Just.. gonna hang around."
