25. Winter Wonderland

"I'm going to go get a cookie baby" Evee said before leaving the lunch table.

Sophie made a face. Why we still sit with Sophie after all that happened? I have no idea.

When Evee walked away she scoffed. "She's so desperate she's calling you baby in front of everybody now? What is this her coming out party?" She asked looking around the table for approval.

I rolled my eyes, "No she's not being desperate. She's being my girlfriend."

"Excuse me?" Sophie blurted out. Then she looked around trying to make sure nobody thought she cared too much.

She sat back trying to seem calm, but she looked like she wanted to flip the lunch table.

She took a deep breath and started typing something on her phone. My phone dinged.

I chuckled. Obvious as fuck.

Sophie: what the fuck are you talking about ? 😒

Mayah: I mean it's pretty self explanatory.

Sophie: 😂 you really made that bitch your girlfriend🙃

Mayah: don't call my girlfriend a bitch.

Sophie: lolllll omg you have to be messing with me

Mayah: no, Im done going back and forth with you.

I'm sure everybody at the table knew we were texting each other.

When Evee came back I put my phone on silent and put it in my pocket. I felt like being petty so I grabbed her by the waist before she could sit down and sat her on my lap.

I could feel Sophie's eyes burning on me but I didn't look... a smile slowly formed on my face.

After months of trying to cool shit off with Sophie, I couldn't believe the fact that she actually left us alone... believe it or not she hasn't tried to sabotage our relationship once, and it's December.

I'm not sure what she does with her time but that's none of my business.

Aunt Tasha: so how's it going?

Mayah: good.. I finally got my grade up to a B in Chem 2

Aunt Tasha: I meant the relationship 🙄

Aunt Tasha: but I'm glad.

Mayah: lol, well damn. Fuck my grades😂😂😂 its going good.

Aunt Tasha: no Sophie drama?

Mayah: oddly enough.. no

AuntTasha: oh hell no, keep your eyes on her.

Mayah; lmao she doesn't seem interested

Aunt Tasha: I don't trust that. You told me she was pissed when she found out... what you got going on?

Mayah: I'm not fucking her 🙄

Aunt Tasha: I'm just making sure.. you do got your daddy's blood... after all

I rolled my eyes reading her message.

Aunt Tasha: anyway, what you getting me for Christmas?

Mayah: oh are you coming back? I thought you were banned 😂

I hadn't heard from her much since thanksgiving. We're only a few days from Christmas.

Tasha: lol no, too soon. I'm better off trying again next thanksgiving. I'll ship you your gift tho.. did you get a gift for your boo yet?
