Now before I tell this story, we have to go all the way back to the beginning. And when I say beginning, I mean the very beginning.

The story of Little Red Riding Hood is a well-known story, a classic. Little Red, who actually wasn't that little, to be honest, went into the forest to visit her Grandmother. Along the way, she met the Big Bad Wolf who tried to steal the food in the basket. Red was able to escape and make her way to her Grandmother's house, but when she got there, let's just say Grandma looked a little different. Red says her classic line of "what big ears you have", blah, blah, blah, she finds out that it's actually the wolf. Skip forward and the Lumberjack who just 'happened' to be in the area comes to rescue Little Red. And they all live happily ever after. The end.

Now, this might come as a surprise to you, but the version everyone constantly tells is actually a lie. The true story went a little something like this.

One day Little Red Riding Hood was asked by her mother to deliver a basket full of treats to her Grandmother who wasn't feeling the best. Red agreed, but there was a problem, she would have to go through the forest, a place she had never gone before alone. But she wanted to see her Grandma, so she started on her way through the forest.

As she walked down the forest path she bumped into the Big Bad Wolf, whose name is actually Luca. Luca lived in the same village as Red and had seen her a few times. Having spoken a couple of times prior, Luca offered to guide Red through the forest. See Luca knew the forset very well. It was his place to escape the hate from the villagers. The villagers had never liked Luca. He was a werewolf, and in their eyes, he was someone to be feared.

The two made their way to her Grandma's house without any issues. And when they arrived her Grandma was in bed, waiting for her. She had thanked Luca for accompanying her grandaughter on her journey and offered him to stay and enjoy the meal that Red had brought with her. He agreed, mostly because this was the nicest treatment he had received in a long time.

Before I continue telling the story, there's some more background knowledge you should know to fully understand what's about to happen next.

Like I stated before, Luca wasn't liked in the village. And the person who hated him the most was none other than the Lumberjack, who goes by the name Pete. Pete was raised like everyone else in the village, to fear the unknown and the 'unnatural'. So when it was made public that Luca was a werewolf, he was one of the first people to shun Luca. But Pete did more than that, he constantly went out of his way to mess with Luca in any way he could. From letting his wildlife free to messing with his garden, to spreading false rumours about Luca to the rest of the villagers, Pete made Luca's life a living hell. It just so happened that Pete also had feelings for Red, which she did not return.

With the being said, you should be able to understand the reason behind what's going to happen next.

Pete was on his way home from work when he happened to pass by Red's Grandma's house. This was a common route he took, so when he noises coming from the inside of the house he got curious. Going over to peak he saw Red, Luca and her grandmother sitting around the table talking and enjoying a meal. Seeing the girl he liked with the person he hated happy together made him not only jealous but angry. So in a blind fit of rage, he made his way into the house and attacked Luca. Red was able to pull him off, but the damage had already been done. Seeing the disgusted look Red gave him, Pete ran back to the village. He knew that Red and Luca would eventually make their way back and tell everyone what he had done, so decided he would talk to everyone before they got back.

Now in a perfect world, Pete would have told everyone the truth and hoped that they would understand that he acted out of emotion. But this is not a perfect world, and Pete is a class A asshole. So he did was all assholes do. He lied. He told a big fat lie. He looked the villagers straight in their faces and told them a made-up story, that I'm shocked they even believed.

Having the villagers believe the false story Pete told them, Luca was in for a surprise when he finally returned. The villagers instantly surrounded him, trying to make him leave. They said they couldn't allow someone so dangerous to live with them in the village. So they banished him. And no matter how much Red pleaded, they wouldn't listen to reason. So Luca gathered his belongings and left the village, but not before telling Red where he was headed.

Some time had past and Red had continued to visit Luca in secret. The two had formed a bond and had begun to develop a friendship. And as their friendship grew, so did their feelings for each other. And soon enough, the two had entered a relationship with each other. It wasn't that long after that Red fell pregnant. And when news spread that Red was expecting. Pete once again let his emotions cloud his judgement.

He sought out a woman he thought to be a witch and asked her to place a curse on Red's unborn child. This woman was indeed a witch, but she did not put a curse on the child she was told to. She instead placed a spell that allowed the girl to receive a great amount of power. Her powers themselves were enough to hurt a lot of people if used for harm.

Thinking that a curse had been placed on Red's child, Pete went to go brag about his wrongdoings. This was around the time that King Adam had begun rounding up all the villains. The royal guards heard the stories of Luca and Red, they sought him out and shipped him off to the Isle. During their stay at the village, they also heard about the curse placed on Red's child. In fear that the child's powers would be too powerful and out of control, the King and Queen, along with those in power, decided that it would best if the child was sent to the Isle after they were born. The Isle was designed to keep out all magic, so they wouldn't have to worry about the child's powers. When Red did give birth, her child was sent to live with Luca on Isle of the Lost, where all other villains resided.

The false story of Luca and Red is stuck to this day, and no one knows the truth. Well, except for you. Now that you know the past, it's time you learned the story of the present. My story to be specific. As the daughter of Luca and Red, I have a lot to tell, and my journey is quite a long one. So sit back, grab a quick snack, because I'm about to tell you the story of Crystal Hood.
