The first gun shot had invited others. Izuku was hunched over on the ground in shock. He couldn't feel the wound over his crumbling heart. He quickly checked his body for the bullet hole, but couldn't see it. Everything was going too fast for him to process. Kacchan's arm was outstretched with the gun in his hand pointed at Shoto. Kirishima was pulling Izuku away as Kacchan covered him.

Shoto had blood gushing out of his side as he was pulled backwards to cover. Kirishima helped Izuku back into the car then joined Kacchan and the Bakusquad in the shoot out. Izuku was in a daze. What just happened? A bullet clanged off of the car and Izuku ducked down. More bullets hit the car and Izuku decided fleeing would be a good idea. He found a gun in the middle compartment. He grabbed it and ran out of the car and away from the mafia leaders. He made it several blocks away and ducked into an ally to catch his breath.

He needed to sort out the events of the night, and he needed to do it now. He slumped against a brick wall. What happened? He doesn't seem physically hurt. But Kacchan shot him, didn't he? He should be dead, why isn't he dead? Izuku replayed the moment in his head.

At the last second, Kacchan pointed the gun away from Izuku, and directed it at Shoto and pulled the trigger.

Maybe Kacchan had planned this all along? Maybe he never intended on hurting Izuku? He didn't know what to think. He knew one thing, Shoto was nearby. Izuku never should've left him. All of this happened because Izuku was selfish. He should go back to Shoto.

Izuku's eyes shot up as he spotted movement. He was like a cornered animal. Two cars sped past him and into the warehouse across the road. He knew that warehouse, that was the safe house Shoto had shown him so long ago. Shoto must be in one of those cars. He could still apologize, whatever fate Shoto decided for him, he would deserve it.

He waited, making his final decision, then followed the cars into the warehouse. Izuku bursted in through the door with a wail. "Shoto?" He cried out. He opened the door and found Shoto in a chair while people buzzed around him, tending to his wound. He didn't look too hurt, the bullet must've missed everything important. "Shoto!" Izuku started towards him but bodyguards stood in his path.

The two-toned man gestured the guards away. "Let him pass." Izuku made his way to Shoto's side and went about his apologies and begging for forgiveness. Shoto pulled Izuku into a loose hug, as if it was for show. His breath send shivers down Izuku's neck. "I'm glad you've come to your senses, Izu." Izuku drew in a sharp breath.

Izuku slowly reached into his pocket. The pistol was like a boulder in his hand. It weighed him down, just like the choice Izuku was about to make.

Izuku let out a pained chuckle, shedding a tear. "Yeah, I've finally come to my senses." He pulled the gun out and pointed it up at Todoroki's heart. "Goodbye, Sho." He pulled the trigger and Todoroki flew back. He clutched his chest as blood poured out of him.

His last breaths were spent coughing and spitting out dark scarlet blood. His glazed-over eyes bore into Izuku. He was still. Blood oozed out of his chest, the only tell he had ever lived.

The guards around them stood in shock, they held no personal bonds with the dead man, there was no point in avenging him. They let the green-haired boy leave the building without a word. Izuku had no plan for what came after, he hadn't expected to get this far. He thought Todoroki would've took the gun and killed Izuku immediately. Izuku supposed sometimes fate was on his side.
