Jack's POV-

"So what? You know these bastards?" I question the taller male who is motionless staring at the paper.

He doesn't answer.

I feel my breath get caught in my throat as he locks eyes with me once more. Pure golden fury stares into my eyes. "I know who took them. I don't think they're dead, but you can never be sure." He crumbles up the paper in his hand and tosses it away into a random corner of the room.

"Follow."
He storms out of the room and down the halls that lead to the door we entered from, I follow closely behind.

"So you know where to find them right?" He turns to me as he walks and puts a finger to his lips as to shush me.

"Hey, you've got to communicate with me! A member of my crew was taken too-!"

He pushes me into an alleyway and covers my mouth with his hand. I can feel his chest pressed against mine and his hot breath against me.

He speaks in a hushed tone into my ear. "Shut up. They have agents all over this city by now. They can't know that we're working together just yet or they'll come after more of your crew."

I pull his hand from my mouth. "Working together? Like hell I'm working with you I just need your information so I can get Gibbs back!" I respond in an angry tone.

He stares me in the eye. "What is with you and eye contact! Stop already!"

"You need me. You'd never be able to find where they are."

"Oh really? Ever heard of a map and compass?."

"The place they're at isn't on any maps and is impossible to navigate to without knowing exactly what landmarks to look for."

"We-"

"By time you even got close to finding it, they'd be dead."

"Fine! You've proven your point! But we're taking the pearl."

"No"

"No? Why! The pearl is the fastest ship made! I thought you said we needed to be quick."

He sighs out of frustration, accidentally blowing air at my neck sending a small shiver up my spine.

He locks eyes again.

"Do you want your crew to get hurt?"

"Huh?"

"If they see the pearl go in the right direction they'll assume that your crew is coming along and they will most likely slaughter them all. It's me they want, so if they see my ship going they'll leave your crew alone."

It hurts to admit it, but he has a point.

I stay quiet for a moment and think.

"Fine. We'll take your lousy ship." I push past him and start walking to the port. He keeps his distance, but I can feel his stare as he follows me.

Now that he has mentioned it I now see that there are an odd amount of people glancing in our direction.

Damn, I guess he was right.
