3RD POINT OF VIEW
IN ASHLAND, OREGON_____________________________________
(NAME) SLOWLY WALKED DOWN THE- grocery store aisle, they glanced at all the delicious fruits in front of them as they fiddled with the end of their new soft, (f. colour) scarf that was recently gifted to them. They stopped fiddling with the scarf's end and smiled once they found the blueberries, picking up a box before leaving the aisle and grabbing and paying for the rest of the groceries.
They left the small grocery store and started walking home, swinging the bags side-to-side and almost (but thankfully not) dropping them quite a couple of times.
As soon as they got home, they put the groceries away and grabbed their old (colour) sketchbook, along with a few other art supplies, shoving the items into their small white back-pack (with mini charms of sketchbooks, pencils and (t/y/l) attached to it and ran outside. It was extra gloomy today and (Name) wanted to capture the sad simplicity of the Pink Palace.
They found a comfy spot on the ground outside and sat down, facing the Pink Palace. They opened their back-pack and pulled out their sketchbook and pencils and started drawing.
(Name) stared at the Pink Palace, their gaze only faltering to look down at the paper being sketched on. About 30 minutes had passed by they thought as they glanced at their wrist watch.
(Name) blankly (and unknowingly) observed their wrist watch, a peaceful silence surrounding them for quite a while.. until a certain blue-haired female noticed the {(h. colour(s)-haired} kid. She stared at them for a bit before stepping closer. She poked their knee with her foot, a curious look on her face as she observed the other kid.
(Name) blinked and shot a look to their knee, noticing the foot that had poked them. They raised a brow and looked up at the foots owner. They had a round face that was covered in light freckles, chocolate brown eyes and stunning short, dark blue hair. They also looked to be around (Name)'s age. (Name) opened their mouth to say something, but the chocolate-eyed girl beat them to it.
"Who are you? What are you doing? You know it's raining, right?" She said, her voice almost mocking that of a small child, while she bombarded the kid sitting in front of her with nosy questions.
She eyed the drawing on their lap, It looked like a rough sketch of a house. Are they drawing the Pink Palace? ..Did they even notice it was raining? The blue-headed girl thought, curiosity stinging her nose.
(Name) furrowed their brows a bit, the childishly sweet voice of the girl in front of them slightly disrupting their mood. They looked at the sky and sighed as the droplets of rain hit their face.
"Doesn't matter." They replied, letting out a slightly annoyed tone, as if to mock the blueberry head.
"Ugh" She exclaimed, pausing a bit before saying "Who are you?" again.
(Name) sighed, much more annoyed by the blueberry headed female and the fact that their drawing was now wet and tearing apart from the rain water. "I'm (Name) (L. Name). What's your name, blueberry?" They replied while they started stuffing their art supplies into the small white back-pack.
"Wha- Blueberry?" She said, feeling her cheeks warm up from the embarrassing nickname. She shrugged it off and said "Um... Welllll, (Name), I'm Coraline. Coraline Jones." with a slight hint of a proud smile on her face.
A small smile tugging at (Name)'s lips, but it quickly disappears as they wipe the rain drops from their face and clear their throat. This makes Coraline stare at them.
(Name) stood up, brushing the dirt off of them and says "..I've gotta get home. maybe... you should too."
"Yeah, yeah" Coraline says waiting for the (e. color)-eyed kid to leave first. "See ya around.. Coraline" They said before throwing their bag on their shoulder, waving goodbye to Coraline and running off to their home.
Coraline watched them run away, trying to rid her thoughts of the (s. tone) kid, but, failing quite miserably. She couldn't help but like how (Name) said their name...with their stupidly pretty (v/p) voice (or maybe she just likes it since (Name) is the only one in this new home that actually says her name right..?). Well, whatever it was, it gave her a warm feeling in her chest.
She blushed and shook her head fiercely, rubbing her face before quickly walking home and slamming the front door of her house. Her mother gave her a 'small yet horrible' lecture about how they're 'working and need to focus on that and if they're interrupted they'll be put off track.' or something stupid like that.

(Name) frowned. They would never admit it, but, they really did want to stay longer. They just didn't want to worry April. So, instead of thinking about that any longer, (Name) decided to draw the round-faced girl.
They couldn't get it right though. No matter how hard or how little they tried, they could not draw Coraline correctly. They sighed, scribbling out the current drawing on the page and turning to a clean one. They sketched out a new rough draft and went on from there.
Nope. That's not it. Not good. 0/10 would throw out without hesitation. UGHHHHHH-
"(Name)!" A voice, presumably April's, yelled from outside said name's door. (Name) stared at it for a minute before speaking.
"Yeah?"
"It's time to eat, dear."
"Ok, I'll be out in a few."Quickly finishing the conversation, The person behind the door walked away. (Name) threw the (color) sketchbook on the floor, feeling a slight hint of annoyance once they did.
They hopped off their bed and walked out of their room to eat dinner with their non-blood related family.
After dinner (Name) was pretty much done, They were so exhausted and tired from the events from today.
And, to be honest.. They were almost excited to see the stubborn blue-haired girl again. So, that's what they thought about for the last few hours of the night.
Coraline.
She seemed to just flood through (Name)'s thoughts and it concerned them greatly, but..
Whatever.Little did (Name) know, She thought about them, too.
