"Basically, I was trying to see how I would..." At this point I tuned Corey out. He was having one of his rambling sessions at the moment and I wasn't really in the mood for it today. I just wanted to eat my nuggets, leave McDonalds, and get practice over with.
Today was a bit of an off day today because I hadn't seen my sidekick all day long. She always has to give me the 411, or for the rest of the day I'm just out of it. I mean, she was here today. Not sure exactly what she has been doing all day though. I should put a tracker on her. No, that's too weird.
She's kind of like my daily news channel in a way. She knows everything that goes on and she knows all of the stupid things people say that I don't hear. Basically, she's Gretchen Wieners.
"Are you even listening to me?!" Corey shouted. I'd zoned out for a while it seemed, but I wasn't sure how long.
I still had four of my nuggets sitting in the same spot they were before, so evidently I didn't zone out while I was eating.
"Sorry, today just isn't a good day for me", I shook my head. "Nigga, when you're with me it better always be a good day or I will slap that white right out of you", Corey threatened. I rolled my eyes and went back to eating my nuggets because we had to be back to the band hall soon.
"DID YOU JUST ROLL YOUR EYES AT ME?!" Corey yelled, shooting ip out of his chair. "Do you really have to start your shit in a McDonalds?" I asked quietly. "Clay McCarty, we are breaking up", he insisted, picking up his garbage and walking out the door.
This wasn't anything knew either. I've been with Corey for a while and he's broken up with me four times already. He should be back through the door any second now begging for forgiveness. I mean, that's what he always does.
After about a minute I saw Corey walking up to the door again walking towards my table that I was still eating my nuggets at.
"Oh my god, Clay. I'm really sorry", Corey apologized, sitting back down in his chair. "Yeah, I know Corey. You don't have to say anything else, we're back together... Tada!"
"Great!" He exclaimed, resting his chin in his palm.

"ARIELLE! JESUS CHRIST! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" I shouted as I walked into the locker room. "Um... I've been in here since school ended", she replied, leaning back on the wall that was behind the counter she was sitting on.
"I haven't seen you all day though."
"Maybe you just haven't caught me at the right times", she shrugged. "I was getting so depressed because I hadn't gotten my daily news from you today. So, now that you're here and I've found you, what've you got for me today?" I smiled, standing in front of the counter where she sat.
"Um, I don't have much today actually", she replied. "Nothing at all?" I questioned. "The only thing I have is that we have a hot substitute filling in for Schmidt tomorrow."
"And who is that?"
"Mr. Nelson."
"Oh, is that really it?" I rose an eyebrow. "Yeah, sorry I got nothing."
