It was now Monday morning and Hermione had to forcefully pull Sage out of her bed to urge her to get up and ready for classes.

Thankfully she only had Potions and Charms on Monday's so it was a rather short day for her.

She had to serve detention right after dinner, so Sage had to spend her whole entire day around that arrogant Slytherin.

"Ugh Mione I don't want to" Sage argued as Hermione dragged her out of bed.

"Sage get up, you can't just skip classes and detention" Hermione spoke while pulling the sheets off of Sage.

"Well Mione, I technically could" Sage retorted, pulling the sheets back over herself.

"Oh Merlin Sage, will you just get out of bed?" Hermione snapped, having enough of Sages tantrum. Hermione opened up the shutters to reveal the bright sky gleaming through their dorm window.

"Okay okay" Sage responded, finally sitting up and removing the covers from her body. She rubbed her eyes and yawned and finally got out of her bed.

"Finally. Bloody hell, I didn't think you'd actually get out of bed" the witch said with a breath of relief as she watched Sage get out of her bed.

Sage took her time walking to Potions class, the slower she walked, the less time she'd spend with Malfoy. Or so she thought.

Once Sage finally arrived to class, the boy hadn't even arrived yet. So walking so slow was for nothing, she thought to herself.

She took her seat and unpacked her belongings and prepared herself for the lesson. As she unpacked her items, her journal had fell from her bag. She went to reach for it when a foot had come in the way and hovered over it, slightly stepping on it.

Sage could recognize who the shoe had belonged to, having only a wealthy wizard like him would wear.

Draco kneeled down to pick up the journal, however not returning it to Sage. "Give it here Malfoy" she demanded.

"Oh what is this? Is this your diary?" Draco asked in a mocking tone. Sage reached for the journal but Draco immediately jerked back so that she couldn't grab ahold of it.

"Ugh Malfoy why do you have to be such an arse?" she practically cried out, already giving up and slouching back into her seat.

"Ah now let's see what the Sage Arden could possibly write in here" Draco uttered while opening the journal to a random page.

Before he could even read the words she had written, he was interrupted. "Mr. Malfoy" Professor Slughorn announced, making the boys head look up. "Take your seat" he added.

Draco complied and took his seat, closing the journal and tossing it onto the desk in front of Sage. "You're lucky I hadn't read your little secrets" he said lowly, which sent shivers down her back. Sage was relieved that he hadn't read what she had wrote in there. The journal was indeed filled with secrets from over the years.

Of course she hadn't written anything to be very secretive. Her journal was more of an every day journal where she wrote about what happens throughout her day and her feelings.

All in all, she was just relieved Malfoy hadn't read about her personal feelings and life.

Professor Slughorn began his lesson, which ended up being a partnered lesson so of course Arden and Malfoy had to interact with each other for the sake of the class.

In class the students were to brew a draught of living death. Typically it would be a task a student is capable of doing alone, however since students found it difficult over the years, Professor Slughorn decided to assign the task in partners.

"No Malfoy you're doing it wrong" Sage exclaimed annoyed at the boy when he had been trying to cut up a Sopophortus bean.

Sage was an exceptional student when it came to Potions. It wasn't her favorite subject but she had been rather good at Potion making.

"What do you bloody mean I am doing it wrong Arden?" The boy asked just as annoyed as she was. "The book clearly states to cut up the Sopophortus bean. So I will be doing exactly so" He added.

All Sage did was chuckle in response to his little outburst. "Malfoy, just let me do it" Sage suggested, nudging him to step away from the cutting board.

As Malfoy stepped away, Sage quickly picked up the blade and crushed the bean. "Why did you crush it, the instructions literally say to cut it" Draco asked sounding worried.

"Just trust me Malfoy. Now you can do the next step which will be adding 250 fluid ounces of water. Are you capable of doing so?" Sage asked the boy while holding out the beaker for him to grab.

Draco didn't respond, he just snatched the beaker from her hand with pure annoyance.

Once he fetched the water, he handed her the beaker. "Thanks" the girl said, grabbing the beaker whilst still face down in her potions book.

Once the two students finished brewing their potion, they called for Professor Slughorn to check their work.

"Well done you two, well done" The professor applauded. "You two are the only students who have succeeded so far" he added.

"Told you I knew what I was doing Malfoy" Sage smirked looking at the boy feeling victorious.

"Yeah yeah Arden, we get it. You're a bloody nerd" Malfoy said, mocking at her excitement.

Once their lesson had come to an end and they were packing up their belongings, Professor Slughorn had called out "Malfoy, Arden. Do not forget about your detention later tonight. I shall see you right after dinner."

"Got it" Sage replied.

"Mhm" Malfoy murmured.
