Part 11

Yuya!!!

The glass in Daiki's hand slips from his grab and falls into pieces on the floor. His heart is pounding fast against his chest and his whole body is shivering in the warm kitchen.

Something is not right.

The oven beeps- it has been twenty minutes since Daiki put in the last batch of muffins to bake. He turns off the switch and carefully takes out the tray from the oven and put it on the covered dining table.

"What happened?" Yamada asks the older boy as he sees the glass pieces.

"I dropped it. Unintentionally of course," Daiki answers. "Do you see Yuya?"

"He's with Keito and Hikaru in Yabu's room- oh yes, with muffins. That boy sure loves muffin so much!"

"Where're Yuto and Chii?"

"Nakamaru-kun takes them out to the backyard. Chii said he saw something suspicious."

"Call them in," Daiki sounds strict. "Ryu and Yuya are missing. Some bad guys attacked us. And Yabu is injured. What the hell they are thinking by going out unprotected?"

"Calm down Dai-chan. Nakamaru-kun is with them," Yamada walks to the glass window. "See, they are still there. Nothing to worry about."

Daiki turns his head. Yes, the three boys are wondering around with torchlight in their hands. Yuto as usual is fascinated by the beetles. He is chasing Chinen around with the bug in his hand. Chinen yells and run to get Nakamaru, but seeing the beetle Nakamaru himself speed off.

"Why are you so tense?" Yamada reaches out the muffins and starts arranging them inside the container.

Daiki bends down to clean the glass pieces. "I don't want anyone else to get hurt. Even Ueda-kun hasn't come back. Will we see them again?"

"Daijyobu. They'll be back, safe and sound."

"How can you be so sure?"

"I don't know. Instinct perhaps?" Yamada shrugs his shoulder, raising his eyebrows at the same time.

"Instinct huh?' the older boy stare deeply at the broken pieces.

Please let them come home safely. Please watch over my Yuya.

Inoo rushes into the kitchen, panting. "Anyone sees Yuya?"

"He's upstairs with Hikaru-kun and Keito," Yamada replies.

"He was. Crap! He's missing!"

"WHAT?"

"Hika thought he was sleeping, so we put him in Takaki's room. But when we went back to check on him he's gone!"

"Have you checked every room?"

Inoo nods. "Including the attic. This is not good. What if he's kidnapped?"

Daiki shakes his head. "If the two men came again we should have known and Yuya would have fought them. There'll be noise and we will know."

"But there wasn't any noise when they kidnapped Ryu," Yamada throws his opinion.

Daiki hits the dining table with his fist. That's true. They took Ryu without a single sound. It must have been the same case with Yuya. What should I do?

But wait. The three boys have been outside for quite sometimes. They should have noticed if any intruders pass by.

"Do you find him?" Hikaru's voice echoes from above.

"No! He's not here either!" Inoo yells back. "What do we do Dai-chan?"

Chinen opens the kitchen door and quickly closes it, leaving Yuto outside who shifts his target from Chinen to Nakamaru. Seeing Nakamaru crawling to avoid Yuto's 'bug-hand' makes Chinen laughs.

"Get him Yuto! Give it to Nakamaru-kun!" Chinen cheers on Yuto, forgetting that he was the target.

"Isn't that funny?" Chinen points towards the two running boy outside with a huge smile on his face which later turns sour seeing the worried face of the three other boys. "What's going on?"

"Yuya is missing," Yamada instantly reply. "Do you guys see any suspicious thing outside?"

Chinen closes his eyes, while his right index finger is tapping on his forehead. "No, it's just us and Yuto's beetles. But yes, I think I saw a yellow butterfly not long ago."

"BUTTERFLY?"

"Em, with black and purple wings if I'm not mistaken."

Daiki rushes outside, trying to find the butterfly mentioned.

No, he's not here. He must have gone to give up himself to the bad guys.

This is not right. I promised I'll protect him. But why? Why did he leave?

"YUYA!!!!!!!!!!"

When he thought that his life was about to end some gold dusts encircling him, causing a decrease in the momentum. It feels like he is floating in a giant gold balloon, slowly going down to the ground.

Bit by bit he lands and the moment his feet touch the earth the gold dust drop onto the ground.

"Whoa!! What was that?" Takaki yells while looking around. Not so far above him both Bubu and Hika are floating with their little wings- red for Bubu and blue for Hika.

Beautiful. So beautiful. What color would my wings be if I have one?

"Human won't have any," a husky voice answers his thought. Takaki turns around and becomes surprised to see fire coming in his way. With all his might he jumps to escape and rolls to hide behind a huge rock.

"Don't they teach you guys the fire safety?!" Takaki shouts. "Your firemen must be really busy here! Do you pay them enough?"

Another fire attacks from the side, almost burning his pants.

"Fire monster!! I just bought this jeans!! Do you know how much it cost?!"

Without any notice one more attack coming above his head. The rock where Takaki is hiding gets warmer each time. And at this point Takaki's precious hair is burned.

"My hair!!!!!!!" the boy quickly rolls to put off the fire. "Moron!!! How dare you!!!" Takaki stands without thinking. And sure enough another attack is coming directly on his face.

Oh shit! I'm dead!

Takaki shuts his eyes and shield his face with his hand. It's ok. I can ask Ueda's butterfly to cover my scar later on.

However after sometimes the fire didn't hit him. Wondering, he slowly opens his eyes to take a look.

Bubu and Hika are floating by his sides with Kei-Ty providing a shield for them with her silver dust. Takaki walks to stand beside Kei-Ty, looking at the two men who are fighting outside the shield.

"It's the Dark Emperor. He was expecting us," Kei-Ty explains. "Get on the unicorn."

"And leave Ueda-kun alone?"

"He should be able to withstand until we get your friend out of there. Hurry, there's not much time to waste!"

Takaki knows he is in no position to argue. He has no power to act alone. And yes, he has no strategy or whatsoever. I am Bakaki after all.

Takaki obediently gets on the unicorn with Bubu and Hika. He throws a last glance to the fighting men.

Eih???? Takaki rubs his eyes several times. How is this possible?
