Tates p.o.v

To be totally honest, I had forgotten about him, my son, and I really didn't want to remember. Thinking if him reminded me of the person I used to be.

The times when I was a murderer, rapist, sociopath.

Leading me to remember the horrible never ending 13 years when Violet hated me.

"Well I don't want to meet him" I replied.

"It's too late for that now, he already knows" she spat back.

"Besides, he's taken up a lot of qualities of yours. He's already learned how to kill, first time was the babysitter"

"That's another reason why I don't wanna see him"

"I thought you'd say that" she sighed. "Well that's too bad, because I'm bringing him over tomorrow"

"No!" I almost yell. "Please don't mom"

"Oh so now you show some damn respect"

I look at my feet.

"Too bad, he's coming over tomorrow whether you like it or not" Constance says and storms off.

What do I tell Violet? Should I tell Violet? What if she'll get mad at me and starts to remember all the horrible things I did and tells me to go away again.

No, I can't, I won't.

I can't lose Violet all over again, even if I have changed, nothing can change what I did.

She doesn't have to know anyway right?

I went up to Violets room and saw her sitting on her bed with earphones in her ears while writing something down as she always did.

I had to call her name a couple times before I caught her attention.

She took out her earphones. "Where were you?" She asks.

"In the basement"

"You don't have to go down anymore you know"

"I know" I shrug.

"Come here" she said patting a section of the bed next to her.

I crawled onto the bed and sat next to her. She tilted her head so it was leaning on my shoulder and I snaked my arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to me.

"Are you okay?" Concern filled her voice.

"Yea" I lied.

"You know you can tell me anything"

"Yea" I repeated.

"Okay.." She said uneasy.

I just wish it would stay like this forever. Violet finally forgiving me and loving me again. With no worries or reminders from the past.

I just want her forever.
