Violets p.o.v

I don't know what has been up with Tate this last day but I'm glad I have him back.

He makes me feel good about myself, happy, and I love him for it. Right now, I don't want anything bad to happen now, fights or deaths.

Even though there hasn't been much news in the house. There's been no new owners for years now. Although the one thing that's getting everyone crazy about is Halloween.

I can't wait to finally be free again, and this time, with Tate.

It's only a few days away so everyone has already planned what they're going to do, which is really limited. Having only 24 hours to travel wherever we please.

So I guess things have been going better lately. I don't cut myself anymore and my parents have stopped bugging me. Although that'll all change when I tell them.

I have to soon so, I decide to now.

I have no clue where Tate is but I think it'll be best is he's not here.

I make my way down stairs to the kitchen where I know my mom will be.

"Mom?" I see her making a coffee for herself.

"Violet" she seems surprised. I guess because I haven't talked to her in like forever.

"Can we talk?" I ask shakily.

"What's wrong honey?"

"I.. well..." I stutter

She looks concerned.

"Would you hate me if I did something that everyone thinks is wrong?"

"Violet, what is it?" She questioned impatiently.

"Ok..." I began. "Tate and I are back together" I said quickly.

My mother seemed shocked at first and asked me if that meant I forgave him. I told her that I guess so.

She wasn't that okay with it but she didn't seem mad.

All she said was that she just never wanted to see him when I was with him, or ever. I was okay with that I guess.

I knew next that telling my dad would not go well at all, so I braced myself for what was next.

I went into his work room, or where he used to work and saw immediately have the same reaction as my mum when i first walked in.

"YOU WHAT?" My dad immediately rose to his feet as soon as I told him about Tate and I.

"No no no, violet you have to stay away from him. He's a monster and a psychopath" he continued

"Dad I know you think that but it's not true, he's changed, he's better now. I swear it"

"see he's got you all messed up, I will not let you see him anymore!" He yells.

"No! You can't control me"

"you will do as I say violet -"

"or what? You'll kill me, kick me out?" i strike back

"Or I will make sure you can't. I swear to god violet you better stay away from him!"

"The only person I need to say away from is you,

Go away dad" I whisper.

Everything fell silent as i sat down wrapping my arms around my legs, pulling them to my chest, crying.

"Im so sorry dad"
