Chapter 8 Dream

Max will explain to Nathan what she knows from Warren... meanwhile they are in Max's room, Jefferson went to Nathan's room and stole his phone... Then he texted Chloe a message because he thinks Max is with her... He expects that they went to the junkyard.

I was sitting in my car and was deep in my thoughts. How could she lie to me? For me, it feels like she throws out everything we were going through the last few days. I was so angry and disappointed at the same time. How could she...

I felt how my body was full of jealousy... when I spotted myself in the car mirror... I felt awkward. What the fuck am I doing... She didn't mean to hurt my feelings... After all, Max is allowed to have friends and trust whoever she wants... But still... Why god damn Nathan!

Am I jealous because she gives him some of her attention? Maybe I'm selfish because from that moment we finally met each other after 5 years, I just want her attention all to myself. It's just not fair... I haven't got anyone's attention for a long time... I-I just feel so lonely. From all these thoughts I started to feel so exhausted. My head is heavy too and my eyes are slowly closing.

Woah... Am I in a dream right now? I looked around but didn't see anything... Everything around me was white. Suddenly I hear whispering and I saw a beautiful blue butterfly with blue smoke around him. That looks exactly like in the picture Max took in the bathroom...

I started to walk forward and followed the butterfly. When that butterfly was waving with his blue wings I felt the blue floating smoke around me like an aura or what do you guys call? You know what? Just focus on that butterfly...

Chloe: "Huh? What the... Where is that butterfly?" Why can't I see him anymore! You can't just disappear like that! "Seriously? Fuck your dream!"

?: "Heh... That's a dollar for the swear jar honey."

I froze... That voice. Is that? I slowly turn back.

Chloe: "D-Dad?" I said carefully when I saw him standing afar. I wanted to run to him but my feet were like they're stuck before I can say another word I heard a sound... like something is coming... closer and closer... but then... something fast hit my father and he disappeared like a ghost.

Max: "I'm so sorry Chloe but... It wasn't my choice to leave." I spotted Max but she was 13 years old. I just stared at her and noticed she wasn't alone... Two shadows were behind her and then... they just took her away. My eyes were drowning in tears right now.

?: "Chloe?" That voice... It cant be... I looked behind me and saw Rachel. I was happy for a moment but... then I realize it's only a dream. I looked at her with a sad smile.

Chloe: "Rachel I-I..." but then Jefferson showed up behind her with a syringe near to her neck. "NO!" Before I get to them they melted away and the only thing I could see was a cloud of smoke.

Max: "Chloe... I'm so sorry... I- I... I don't want you to worry. I know I was..." Then I spotted Jefferson and how he approached her... Before he could get closer to her I woke up because I fell on the steering wheel and accidentally honked.

Chloe: "Max!" I screamed. Shit, what am I doing? I got out of the car and started searching for Max.

I don't think anybody could help me... everyone was drunk or didn't notice anything... Wait... Is that... Ok, you stalky nerd... I know you can be such a pain in the ass but please... only this time... I hope you know the exact place where is Max right now.
