After my shift was over I bid my farewell to both the siblings as they continued to bicker with each other. I reached home to find Peter in the kitchen with Jake and Tyler helping him make dinner. What the hell did I miss in 3 hours?
"Hey, cupcake.Welcome home."Peter greeted.
"Hello to you too, "I said confused. How am I supposed to handle this situation universe? Answer me.
"Uhh....will anyone care to explain what is happening?"
"I know everything now.....Tyler told me the truth." I glared at Tyler.
"What are you glaring at me for?"
"You said you wouldn't tell."
"I said I wouldn't tell Chris. So technically I didn't do anything wrong."
"You're going to justify yourself on a technicality."
"I'm sorry," Jake shouted so that I could hear him over my heated argument with Tyler. "What I did was pathetic and horrible. I'm truly sorry for the damage that I caused you and I know this apology isn't enough but if you forgive me I'll be able to look at myself in the mirror. So what do you say Richardson? Is my apology accepted?"
I looked at Peter who gave me a gentle nod indicating he had forgiven Tyler.
"It's fine. I accept your apology, I don't think I've been an angel either. So chill out a bit."I knew how horrible it was to deal with the monstrosity. I just got relieved from it after 2 years. It's a horrible feeling. The guilt and regret are too much to bear with and a person who has truly suffered pain can sense it and can easily forgive someone for it. They don't want others to be monsters due to their pain. It's called growth. And it not only gives peace to the person who is forgiven but also the person who is forgiving. Mental peace is hard to achieve so don't miss any chance to achieve it. Everyone deserves to be happy and to be forgiven if they realize their mistakes. They will try to fix the problem.
"You deserve a second chance, Jake. I appreciate that you realized your mistake and wish you a lot of happiness."
"Thank you so much." he said hugging me."From now on you have me on your side. I promise that I won't let Chris or anyone else hurt you."
"Thanks, Jake but your friendship is enough. I can handle myself."I said honestly."Now I expect a clean kitchen by the end of your cooking and a delicious three-course meal."
"Yes ma'am," Jake replied and went back to helping Peter and Tyler. I went to my bedroom to reread Harry Potter and why not. I love it. After reading about 3 chapters Peter called me to the kitchen. I followed the delicious smell of roasted Chicken and yummy gravy. My mouth was watering and god was it delicious. The chicken was so tender and juicy while the skin was crispy. Peter had a beer with his meal while the rest of us had mountain dew while we watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix.My favorite movie in the series. It was the book I liked the least but The movie was amazing. All of us except Peter passed out on the couch. I'm tired okay. A lot has been going on.
I woke up to see the boys getting a little too comfortable. A devilish grin formed on my face as I took a picture of them."Well, aren't you two a little too cozy?"I whisper screamed as they awoke startled and jumped away from each other as I toppled to the ground laughing.
"Stop laughing!"Tyler said hitting me with a pillow.
"Jake, do you approve of this?"I questioned referring to last night.
"Absolutely."He said smacking me with another pillow.
"Et tu brute?"I joked
"I'm not betraying you and stop referring to Shakespeare."
