I had to look my best. Today was the day we were going for our business tour at LGC and I was so excited. I don't know but I felt like today opens a new chapter in my not-so-happy life.

Looking at it from a different point of view, it was totally true. If I could meet Mrs Lancaster ... it'll be just like meeting your celebrity crush except I'm not crushing on her or anything. Geez, that'll be awkward and besides she's like twenty-two years older ...

I spinned in the mirror after ruining a brush through my pin straight black hair. My mum really loved my hair.

She was a blonde whiles my dad was a brunette. Yep. Nobody knows where I got my black hair from. But that's not not important now. What's important is that ...

I'm gonna meet Mrs Lancaster. Well not one on one but at least I'll get a glimpse of her. Putting on my black boots, I grabbed my bag and my phone.

My eyes fell on the butterfly hairpin perched nicely on my desk. It was my mother's. She gave it to me on my 13th birthday. The butterfly's wings were filled with iridescent diamonds. No worries, the diamonds are fake.

Needing her with me, I grabbed it with gentleness as if it were fragile. A warm feeling engulfed me as I held it. I clipped it on the right side of my hair. It was time to go.

Descending the stairs, I bump into Ellie, Justin's younger sister and the second born of the Campbells. Fourteen years old and almost a 'little' taller than me.

I'm not that short.

I muttered a "sorry" and picked up my bag that had fallen off when I bumped into her.

"Nice hairpin. Did you steal it ?" She muttered rudely.

I smiled widely in order to creep her out and bypassed her. I was in a good mood today and 'nothing' could disrupt that.

My Cheshire Cat grin immediately faltered when I saw Justin. I felt my cheeks grow warm as I remembered our 'encounter'. Trying to sneak past, I walked gracefully and as light as I could.
Luckily, he didn't see me and I set off to school desperately wishing for a free ride.

'Cos let's face it free rides are the best. Well, unless you end up dead or kidnapped that is.

Expensive and classy cars whooshed past me as I walked on my foot to school. And those fuckers didn't even stop to offer a free ride. Dingbats.

I got to school and saw the buses that were to take us to LCG. I bought a bottle of water and some snacks since I forgot to eat. I stuffed my earphones in my ears and played some music mostly cools and before I knew it, we were off to LCG.

Ian arrived in his own car with his two friends Justin and Noah. Since the trip was funded by Ian's mother, the school went soft on him.

We entered the building and I was wowed. I could imagine Claire's squeal if she was here. I cursed softly as I felt my bladder fill up. I needed to pee. And we just got here so it'll be embarrassing.

Hang on pee, I'll take good care of you. Okay ... Maybe that was a little gross and weird but whatever.

I kept it in for twenty minutes which is extremely unhealthy but I couldn't keep it in any longer. I slipped out of the group of students and went in search of a washroom.

I sighed blissfully as I dried my hands under the hand dryer. The toilet seats were so shiny and the tissues were so soft. Even the walls glittered.

Okay ... that was weird but try keeping pee in for about twenty minutes and see the outcome.

I got out of the washroom and retraced my steps back to where I left the others but, they weren't there. I cursed a little as I tried to guess where they were.

Let's say, I spent about five minutes in the washroom, three minutes each going to and fro. Making eleven minutes and spent about three standing here. I checked the brochure I was holding which included the map, not exactly the map but each department name, floor etc.

Random guessing their whereabouts, I took the elevator. The doors opened with a ding and I stepped out.
This floor seemed ...
I don't know but I felt that I wasn't supposed to be here. I reached for my bag to take out my phone to call only to find out if left my bag with Sierra( the one who told her about the business trip ).

Shit.

I heard footsteps coming my way and raised my head to see a woman clad in a suit coming toward me.
Double shit.

She looked familiar. She was clad in a grey suit with her black in a beautifully braided bun. She had a stern yet welcoming look on her face. Dont ask me. I don't know how that's possible.

Her grey skirt wasn't too tight and not too loose. Her six inch heels clicked clicked as walked elegantly. You could see she was debonair woman.
Her focus was on an iPad she held in her grip.

When she raised her head, I realized why she looked familiar. She was Mrs Lancaster. Ian's mom. She made direct eye contact with me and paused in her steps. I gulped and looked down.

No need to tell me. I knew I was in trouble.
