Like a game character controlled by some unknown gamer, I walked stiffly to the party ground,  my heart pounding behind my chest.

The first thing I noticed was how colorful everything looked, from the decorations to the trees and down to the outfits of everyone present. But that didn't seem to add any color to my damp state of mind.

"Hey JJ, are you alright? You look so pale," Jody asked.

What do I tell her though? Will she believe me if I tell her I feel something wrong will happen? What proof do I have to back up my claims?

It was more frustrating because everyone looked so happy, some of them were in some form of tribal costumes dancing around the burning fire. I couldn't be the one to bring such news, I didn't even know how true it was. It could be because I hadn't had fun for a long time or it could be that I was simply scared, or I could just be paranoid.

Rubbing my sweaty palms together, I followed them to where the remaining captains, as well as the Alpha and Beta, sat.

"JJ baby! Come sit with me," I heard the unmistakable voice of Ro yell because of the loud music.

Forcing a smile on my face, I sat on the cutout log placed on the ground where he sat.

"Hello Ro" I forced out as enthusiastically as I could.

"I missed you so much, JJ how could you leave my poor soul alone with this annoying prince?"

It was then that I noticed Dean sitting directly opposite me, not even throwing a glance in my direction.

Before I could reply, Meg did for me.

"Shut up Ro! You are the annoying one."

I could only laugh in reply when he threw a scoff her way.

"You are just jealous of my spec."

"What spec?" It was Jody who replied this time around. "You're too full of yourself Ro, you need an ego check."

"Oh come on, not you too. At least JJ doesn't think so, right JJ?"

"Uhh… well…"

"Oh come on JJ!"

"I mean… of course, they are jealous of your swag, who does it like you? No one does, definitely no one."

"Hell yeah! That's what I'm talking about, JJ you are my queen." Ro replied with a wink.

I couldn't help but laugh, a genuine laugh this time around, he was just so charming. Flashing me with his beautiful smile he stood up from the log and knelt on one knee in front of me.

"My queen, will you do me the honor of dancing with me?"

"Huh?"

"Come dance with me."

"Uh…" I looked around for a savior but everyone was either avoiding my eyes or laughing at me."

" I don't know how to dance."

"Nonsense JJ, have you forgotten when you told me dancing was like your escape room."

"My what?"

"No more complaints, let's go scatter the dance floor," before I could give a retort, I was dragged from my comfort to the center for a very weird, rugged dance.

It didn't take long for the music to get into my brain making me break loose. It wasn't enough that Ro was very smooth, handsome, and charming, he also knew how to move. It made me wonder if another certain handsome fellow could dance. What am I even thinking? Of course, he can't dance, not with that overly stiff body of his. And handsome? Yeah right. He is as handsome as a toad.
