Jimin couldn't remember the last time Hoseok had smiled, a genuine smile.

While it sounded cliche to say, Hoseok was the ray of sunshine in Jimin's life. There was never a time where Jimin didn't catch Hoseok smiling. Whether it was at something funny he watched or just because of being alive, Hoseok, even on Jimin's rainy days, had found a reason to lift the corners of his lips upwards in happiness.

Jimin loved the way Hoseok's heart-shaped lips revealed his infatuating smile, and even though it was never romantically directed at him, Jimin could never help but bask in the warmth and tranquility a simple beam from Hoseok gave him. It couldn't be helped. Hoseok's smile was that infectious to Jimin.

Or maybe it was because Jimin loved every little thing that made up Jung Hoseok— down to the most insignificant aspect.

"Hoseok, get up."

Jimin knew he wasn't going to get a response. He hardly ever did, especially when Hoseok and he had little fights like this. Hoseok would shun him out for a couple of days after a heated argument, to the point where Jimin would have to force himself into Hoseok's room to ensure he hadn't done anything damaging to himself.

"Hoseok."

Jimin could hear the sound of rustling in the sheets, which he took as a good sign. His hands circled on the doorknob, and finding the door unlocked, he took it as an invitation to come in. Jimin had already made breakfast— a simple one consisting of pancakes and eggs, but today, he has a different mission in hand.

He was going to try to get Hoseok to go out with him today.

They were running low on food, and Jimin also wanted to get some last-minute decorations from the stores. He usually didn't decorate during the holidays, mostly because Hoseok absolutely despised it and refused even to step foot outside his room if the apartment even looked 'remotely cheery.' However, this year, he wanted to force Hoseok into partaking in the holidays— starting with adorning some of the walls with wreaths and other ornaments he hoped to find.

"Breakfast is ready."

Hoseok only grunted as he wrapped himself with his covers, ignoring the weight he felt at the edge of his bed. He shut his eyes, refraining from making any sort of contact with Jimin, who remained sitting patiently on Hoseok's bed, much to Hoseok's distaste.

"You're not getting away with that this time." Hoseok heard Jimin say. In a split second, the covers were off him, and Hoseok immediately grabbed his pillow, putting it over his face in an attempt to hide from Jimin. "Good morning to you too, sunshine."

"Leave me alone," Hoseok finally said, his voice sounding muffled. The only thing Hoseok felt, however, was Jimin laying next to him, his arm slinging over Hoseok's unmoving body.

"Come on. We're going shopping today." Jimin chirped, patting Hoseok on the back. "I'm not taking no for an answer. We're running low on food, and I don't want to go by myself. I always do, and it's not fun."

"Jimin, you know I'm not in the mood." Hoseok sighed, turning towards Jimin.

He rolled his eyes. "Hoseok, you're never in the mood. That's the problem, and we are going to fix it. All you'll be doing here is wallowing in your misery, and it's the holidays! We can't have that."

"Fuck the holidays," Hoseok mumbled, turning away from Jimin once more.

"Stop being a grinch." Jimin huffed, edging closer to Hoseok. "Come on. It's the least you can do with me. You need a distraction."

"Go with Jungkook or something I don't care."

"Jungkook's visiting Taehyung's family for the holidays," Jimin answered, knowing that Hoseok was going to bring him up. "And before you say Namjoon or Jin, you know they're out traveling. You're the only person I can go with, and you are the only person I will go with. Get up."
