Hero banquet.

A couple of days past and I was doing my paper work in my office when Bubble girl busted down my door holding a letter "YOU GOT AN INVITATION TO THE HERO BANQUET TONIGHT" she was screaming and bouncing up and down "THERES NO WAY" I ripped the letter apart and there it was, the golden ticket to the annual hero banquet both of our eyes started to glimmer at the sight of it "urgh how are you guys already yelling its only like 10 am" Bakugo stood outside of the door with the rest of the team "OUR GIRL IS GOING TO THE BANQUET" Bubble girl continued to cheer "what's so good about this banquet I swear you went last year too" Shinso added on "this year is different, she's been nominated for an award!" Everyone's face dropped "wait does this mean you are finally going to show your face in public?" Bakugo snapped "you cant! You know how many people will be after you?" He wouldn't stop speaking "enough, if I decided to go public I will and that is a personal choice. Everything that happened with me in the past is long gone" I tried to calm myself down but I couldn't feel anything but nervous. My whole hero life I've kept my face under deep protection just in case I would get spotted by people from my past but once you get nominated for something you actually have to go and claim your award. I've seen other pro heroes before and a couple of them know who I am but i've never went out into the public and showed myself fully. A part of me was scared to final show myself to everyone but the other half was excited to see the medias reaction.

As I was leaving for work I called Keigo to tell him the good news "I got an award!" There was so much joy rushing through my body "I know! They told me everyone that did I just wanted you to find out for yourself. I got one too!" We both were so excited for each other. "Would you like to be my date and come with me there?" Keigo asked, my first thought was that it would be a great experience with him but I wanted to make my appearance as the third pro hero and not Hawks's girlfriend "no ill just meet you there, I want to be seen as my own person" I said as I finally reached my condo "that's fine by me baby bird you gotta do what you have to, and if you haven't figured out what do wear tonight I left you a little something in your closet at home" he ended the call after finishing his sentence. I was way too curious to see what he left behind for me as I opened the closet doors a beautiful blood red silk dress with a slit down the side was hanging up with a note attached "I picked your favourite colour (and mine too of course) I hope you love it as much as I do" "that cheesy bastard" I laughed to myself. I never thought a man would care so much about my week being, it was so sweet to me. "Alright y/n it's time to get ready" it was only 3 and the banquet was at 7 but I had to make preparations like my ride and my makeup and hair. I called in my favourite limo company and let them know I was going to attend the banquet this evening then I started to do skin prep for the rest of the time. After my long hot bath it was time to do my makeup. I did a bold liner with a red colour as eyeshadow to match the dress perfectly. I put my hair into a long silk high ponytail with extensions so it would flow down to my ass. I finally put on the dress and added extra shimmer and bronzer to my collarbones so they pop more, I saw myself in the mirror and almost lost my own breath by looking at myself. The dressed hugged my body perfectly showing off everything that needed to be shown "I look gorgeous, this is the way to introduce myself to the world" I winked at myself as I went downstairs to the limo. "Good evening y/n you look beautiful" the doorman said as he got the door for me "aww you flirt thank you".

I finally got to the front of the banquet but there was a red carpet I had to go through before I went inside. I hesitated a second but my limo driver reassured me "you will do just fine, you will make everyone's jaw drop to the floor" I smiled at him and got out of the limo. I was hit with a bunch of flashes, this was a new world to me ive always been so to myself this was way out of my comfort zone but I was ready. I walked up the stairs and everyone started asking me a million questions "who are you?" "your makeup is flawless!" "I love your dress!" "are you a pro hero?" I took a deep breath in and started speaking "I am the third pro hero Draculora" as the words left my mouth everyone started to rush towards me breaking the fence down "THIS JUST IN THE THRID PRO HERO DRACULORA HAS FINALLY SHOWN HER FACE TO THE PUBLIC" a news reporter said, I started waving and blowing kisses as everyone tried to get an interview with me. I walked away as they started all to crowd the area, I just had to give them a little taste of me. Once I came into the building all the heroes started applauding me it was only right for me to bow for them "breath taking as always" Aizawa came up to me kissing my cheek "I had to make a good impression" I joked around with him "you did a good job you are already trending all over social media, look" he passed me his phone and there were million pictures of me floating around with all positive comments "congrats on the award too, im proud of you y/n" Aizawa hugged me while grabbing the back of my head it was such a comforting feeling knowing that someone was actually proud of my success. I went around greeting more heroes and there he was, my handsome bird man Keigo. He looked so good in a suit I couldn't wait to take it off of him later that night. A waiter came by and offered me champagne, as I was sipping on it Keigo came up to me "I knew you'd love amazing in that dress, but what are you wearing underneath?" He whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine "how about you find out Mr. Takami" I teased him back, he knew exactly what he was doing. "Come on, the ceremony is starting now" we walked together into the dining hall and took our seats across from each other. Present Mic showed up and started off the show of course "Are you guys ready tonight!?" He screamed and everyone ate it up "tonight we are staring off a little different than usual, we are going to be giving out the awards before the events start" I felt butterflies in my stomach because I've never talked in front of such a big crowd before and plus I had no clue what the order the awards were being handed out. "First things first my heart goes out to the first hero that will be gracing us with her beauty this evening. She has worked so hard to get where she is today and i'm extremely honoured to present the hero of the year award to the third pro hero Draculora!" Present mic finished his speech and a big spot light beamed on me everyone in the crowds were cheering and roaring for me as I walked up the stage to claim my award. As I walked across the stage to greet Present Mic he hugged me and whispered in my ear "thank you for your service, I'm proud of you" I've never even spoken to Present mic outside of work but he was still proud of me. "Thank you Present mic for being our MC tonight" I looked at the award in my hands "i'm honestly speechless and I know majority of you guys are too since this is the first time for me to show my face in public like this but I wanted to give a shoutout to everyone out there watching me and supporting me for everything I've accomplished in my lifetime. From here I shall move forward and work ten times harder to keep everyone in here and at home safe and sound" I lifted the award up and walked off the stage. Even more people started to cheer for me after my speech was finished. I sat back down and the heroes around me started to congratulate me. A couple more heroes went up for their awards which lasted around an hour or so, some speeches were funny others were more sincere which made a couple of heroes in the room cry but it finally came down to the last award. Present mic hopped back onto the stage "last award for the night folks! Now this guy is my right wing honestly" everyone in the crowd started to laugh "he has accomplished a lot in such a short amount of time so give it up for the second pro hero Hawks for mission of the year!" As Keigo got up from his seat he winked at me and walked up to the stage where he hugged Present mic and took the award from his hands "I don't think you guys want to hear another speech from me after what happened at the last award show but I promise ill make this one quick, I just wanted to say that this mission wouldn't have been able to happen if it wasn't for Draculora. She pushed her limits to help me bring this mission to life. And in the process she taught me how to be a better man. Im not trying to be cheesy over here but I'm so in love with this woman and I'm so proud to say it. Thank you for the award" everyone cheered but a lot were confused and turned to me for some sort of answer. Honestly I was just as shocked as everyone else, Keigo wasn't one to ever tell his feelings to the whole world and he knew that this was being broadcasted whole wide. He sat down beside me and grabbed my hand "the whole world deserves to know how much of an incredible woman you are, so I told them little song bird" he kissed my cheek and held my hand tighter.
