(Brandon's POV) "Thanks mom!" I say as I run out the door, I'm on my was to Jackson's house, but I needed $20 to ride the bus to get there and back. When I get there I'm greeted by his mom and then she tells me he's in his room "hey dude!" He says as I walk in "hi" I say "how you doing?" He asks me, he knows I hate that question. Me and him have been friends since first grade, and best friends since 3rd grade, that was the hardest year of my life. That was the year my dad left. He said he was going away on a business trip 6 months before then but when he didn't come back my mom said he was never coming back. During that time people always babied me and said "awww, are you ok??" Like they we're pitting me, ever since then I've hated that question. But that whole time Jackson was there for me, that's how I knew he was a true friend. "Come on dude" I say as I sit in his gaming chair. "Sorry" he responds "I forgot, but I didn't mean it like that" "I know, it just brings back bad memories but I'm doing good though" "I wonder when your gonna meet your soulmate?" He asks "I don't know, I really want to meet her though, I mean, she'll literally be the love of my life, dude!" I respond "hey" he says "want to have a sleepover? I'm sure your mom will be fine with it, and you can barrow some of my clothes" "yeah, I'll ask her" I respond as I take out my cellphone
"My mom said yes" I tell Jackson "awesome!" He says back

Later that night we start talking about soulmates. I'm already 16 so that means I'm not gonna be younger than my soulmate but it also means, I could have to leave home at any time. Because of this I have all my stuff ready to go if I have to leave with no time for preparation. Jackson on the other hand hasn't turned 16 yet so we're pretty sure he's gonna be younger that his soulmate. "Oh, you poor young fellow" he laughs at this comment "wanna take a picture for Instagram?" He asks me. I Groan as I sit up "sure"
