.:|No hate to the three states of America mentioned, they are simply the only ones I know|:.

Third's pov.

I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off. 5:30am. My time to shine.
"Marie, I'm hungry." I say as I look over to the camera in the corner of my white walled room. The camera zooms in to look at me then goes dead, a few moments later a woman is looking through the glass in my door.
"Guten morgen Thrid, do you want to get dressed so we can go down to the cafeteria?" She says in a sweet, innocent voice. Her hair is jet black tied in a braid, her shirt is cream pink with her two ID cards pinned to her chest. Marie is my nurse, she looks after me.

I stand and push myself against the wall, my hands up. I can't see her but I know she enters from the noise of the door.
"You're getting good at this Third, remember when you first came here? Always fighting and hurting people." Marie says as she dresses me. Her hands are soft and gentle, like she was so many years ago. I feel her wrap the straight jacket around me, I'm not allowed to leave my room without it.
"There, now we can go have breakfast." Marie rests her hand on my back and guides me out into the hallways. We walk past Christopher's room. I stop and gesture with my head for Marie to knock on the glass, she does.

Suddenly a man's face stares back at me, one of his eyes completely ripped out and the other pale and blind. His dirty brown hair falls before his eyes, so I don't have to look.
"Guten Morgen Chirstopher, Wie geht's?" I say in a cheery tone. Christopher 'looks' at me with a cold dead stare before saying the same thing he says every day.
"I didn't mean to kill her... she was just so small... so weak... my hands don't listen to me officer." I smile brightly as Marie pushes me down the hall again.
"Come on Third, the food will get cold."
We continue to walk as Christopher starts screaming about he didn't mean to kill his daughter.

I chuckle to myself slightly and keep walking. Marie says something into her radio, I wish I could hear what she says to it but the static is so loud and the constant gunfire doesn't make it any easier.
"The chief said he is serving croissants with cheese and bacon for breakfast. I know how much you love bacon." She says as we enter a small cafeteria with three or four tables. We sit in the one all the way to the left, near the window. Marie gets up to grab the plate with breakfast on it. She carefully cuts the croissant  up and puts a slice on a fork.
"Ah!" She says, I open my mouth and she puts the food in.

This continues for some time, I wish she'd let me eat by myself but she always says no. She is right though, I love bacon. The building shutters slightly as an air raid carries out. They must be dropping them pretty close if the building shuttered like that.
"Marie they're bombing us again." I say quietly as I wait for the next raid, she doesn't move and smiles.
"Oh goodness, but I have my clothes outside drying." Marie says in a joking tone, she always is so optimistic. I close my eyes and listen to the explosions in the distance. I see Marie and Deutschland next to me. Deutschland is so small and wide eyed.

It'll be okay Deutschland, they'll go over soon. I say as I pick him up. Tears fall from his eyes and fall onto my shirt. He shivers and shakes at the large bangs. I place my black cap on his head and hold him close, it's alright Deutschland, papa is here. I fall gently to my knees and try to cover his ears from the rounds and rounds of gunfire and air strikes. Marie drops beside Deutschland and I, she wraps her arms around Deutschland as I hold onto her.
"I'm scared Third." She whispers into my ear. I gently kiss her soft rose lips and rest my head on her shoulder. So am I Marie, so am I.

The moment that follows is a quiet one, no yelling, no air raids and for once no gunfire. Deutschland looks terrified and Marie cuddles close. There are voices coming from outside, they aren't from here, they are from some place far away.
"Mister America, we can't find the Nazi Regime also known as the Third Reich anywhere. Do you want us to keep looking?" A man in English says, although his accent sounds like they're from the border of Mexico and America.
"Keep looking Texas, Alaska and Colorado swear no one left during the air strike. He is here somewhere. I want all 50 looking."

Deutschland held onto my iron cross that was around my neck. What is it honey? They won't find us, papa promises. Marie is close to me, she takes my iron cross and lays in on Deutschland's neck.
"Be brave for us Deutschland, mama and papa love you very much." Marie says as she holds Deutschland. What are you doing Marie? They won't find us if we stay here. Marie turns to me and smiles. Her eyes are soft as she kisses me.
"I love you." Marie gently places Deutschland in the back of an American vehicle, the soldiers will notice him if we leave him there.
"Third, run."

Marie bolts from our hiding spot and tackles America to the ground, distracting both him and a few of his states. I get up and start running in the opposite direction. I duck and weeve through buildings, I don't know who sees me but someone does. I hear the alarm go off and start echoing down the street. I hear the same voice as before, 'Texas' I believe he was addressed as.
"We got a live one!" He yells before firing two bullets at me. The first one misses, the second one hits me in the shoulder. I fall to the ground and hold my shoulder in pain, he pulls me up and handcuffs me.

He forces me to walk back to the campsite at gun point. I see Marie's lifeless body curled up on the ground, she was dragged back. YOU MONSTERS! SHE WAS MY WIFE!! I swipekick Texas and knock him to the ground. I try and break the handcuffs but because of the pain in my shoulder I didn't have the strength. I get knocked over myself as another state tackles me to the ground. I want to fight but then time stops, I hear Deutschland crying. Can he see me? No, he is in the vehicle.
"Find the source, bring them back here." America orders. He looks at me. And I look at him. I feel something hit me in the side of my head before I pass out.

"Papa! Papa!" Germany calls from across the table. He is wearing a navy duffle coat and a brown knitted sweater. Russia is sitting next to him, his eyes cold and unsympathetic. He is wearing a singlet that needs a wash, there is also bandages wrapped around his arms.
"Yes Deutschland?" I reply, Marie is standing by the door, giving us privacy.
"You seen Imperial recently?" Russia butts in. His mood clearly a joyful one. I shake my head, the last time I saw her was tuesday, it's thrusday today.
"No, I haven't seen her since Tuesday. She brought over some lovely cakes."

"Was she acting d-different or... anything?" Germany asked softly. His voice stuttering. Is this about him and father shooting Polen? Why is he helping them figure it out?
"Deutschland, I told Reich you weren't ready. He never listens." I say as Germany's flag pales. Oh, does the commie not know of our little secret? I chuckle to myself and continue swiftly.
"I told him the baby formula should be continued up to three years. Now look at you so weak." Germany gives me a shocked expression while Russia tries to keep down a laugh.

"It's not funny, when he was young he used to walk around with a small blanket to chew on, he'd also cry and cry if you didn't let him have it." Germany's expression quickly tins red and he manges to close him mouth. Russia covers his mouth with his hand and looks away.
"Or that time he wet the bed and blamed it on the dog, who was sleeping in my room." Germany huffs and stands up. Russia looks at him in confusion before Germany pulls him up. I fell bad for the commie.
"He saw her last Tuesday, that's all we needed. Goodbye father." Germany says as he drags a giggling Russia out.

Marie stands next to me.

"Are you teasing that boy of yours again?"
