Dream

"Who is that?" Bucky smirked, nudging his bestfriend Steve to look over. Two girls sitting at the bar in their pencil skirts and blouses.
"Ive never seen them here before." Steve talked looking over at them. They were laughing about something, Bucky watched as one's eyes crinkled at the corners. There was a dimple on the cheek he could see, her smile big and her red lipstick highlighting her white straight teeth.

She looked up and her eyes met his, she sent him a little grin and then returned to her friend. Of course she found him attractive, very much so to be exact. It didnt take long before her friend had left and she sat alone so Bucky walked over to take her friends seat.
"Hi." She said sweetly and he smiled.
"Whats your name doll?" Bucky asked her,
"Y/n. And you?" Her eyes were hazel and had a light to them that would never leave Bucky's mind.

"I love your name, it screams beautiful.
James Buchanan Barnes." She smiled, she was a bit shy but he loved it because it made her that much more cuter. Now he could see both dimples she had on each cheek.
"I can't believe you're a solider, are you good at it James?" She asked, he nodded grinning.
"Yeah Im the best there is." He winked at her.

"Better than Captain America?" She teased, in the short time he was over there he had forgotten that Steve had the serum while he was overseas. To Bucky, Steve was still the little guy he always knew.
"Sometimes. Did I tell you that you're the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes on?" Her cheeks tinted a light shade of red,
"No but you're not bad yourself at all." She smiled. Her dimples made him happier.

"Would you like to go out sometime?" He asked her nervously,
"Id love that James." She softly told him.

Bucky had returned from overseas to his girlfriend of three years who had been eagerly waiting for him. She waited at the train station, looking at every solider that came off the train. The train was almost empty of soldiers and the dock the same as well. She was starting to get worried that he wasnt going to return, that he died overseas and she couldnt help the tears escaping her eyes as her mind feared the worst.

The last solider off the train was Bucky and she looked up at the exact moment he came off the steps and looked around. Y/n smiled and ran when she saw him coming to her, he dropped his luggage and caught her when she hugged him.
"Ive missed you so much doll." He said, his hand on the back of her head as his other arm wrapped around her waist.
"I thought youd never come back Buck." She told him when they pulled apart, tears running down her cheeks.
"Hey hey doll," Bucky wiped her tears off her cheeks with his thumbs.

"I'll always come back for you darling."

Y/n watched Bucky as he opened up a present she got him. A knife he had been wanting, his face lit up more as he saw it. He put the present down and pulled her into a embrace.
"Thank you doll, I love it." She smiled,
"I love you." She hugged back.
"I have one for you two." He grabbed her hands and pulled her to the Christmas tree before he picked up a present and handed it to her. She covered her mouth, looking at the present he got her.
"Bucky, are you serious?" Y/n asked hesitantly,
"Of course I am darling."

"Im gonna marry you one day. When I get back from the mission alright doll?" Bucky looked her in her hazel eyes for the last time for what was going to be a very very long time.  Of course they didnt know that yet.
"Okay, I'll miss you so much. I always love you, infinity beyond forever okay? Be safe and kick some butt!" They hugged each other tightly before he kissed her one last time and made his way onto the train to take him to base.
