Ok so timeskip everyone passed and Killua was freed from the Zoldcyk mansion :>

Y/N's POV

"See you, Killua! Thanks for everything! You too Leorio, Gon, a-and Kurapika!" I waved goodbye to them. I have to go now. I promised Neon that I would go shopping with her after I got my license but I never did. As soon as I came out, I went with Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika to help Killua. It's not like I'm regretting helping Killua, I just don't want to break any promises.

We all promised to meet again in September 1st! I'm a lot more comfortable with Kurapika now. We both got pretty close and I even told him I planned on capturing the spiders. Of course, I didn't tell him why. I just said it's personal and he agreed he wouldn't ask me to say anything if I was still uncomfortable sharing my story.

Kurapika didn't change a lot, mentally. He's still the sweet but sometimes angry kid I used to play with in the woods. I realized I was texting all of this to Neon. She didn't reply yet. I don't think she'd be that upset, she's always predicting her future so I assumed she knew I wouldn't be able to go shopping with her as soon as I came out of the exam.

I was sitting in a bench, waiting for Neon to text back when I realized Kurapika was in front of me. I was so surprised my phone jumped out of my hands. I quickly picked it back up and asked Kurapika, "err what're you still doing here?"

Kurapika pulled out a poster with MY FACE?!? MY FACE WAS ON A POSTER?!? I panicked and almost read it immediately.

Kurapika's POV

I was about to ask N/N if he was willing to team up with me. Both of us have the same goal. It would be easier to share information on the Phantom Troupe and maybe he could help me find Y/N. I was walking past stores when, I saw a poster. It wasn't just any poster, it had Y/N's face on it!

I quickly read over it. Y/N went missing?!? She went missing the morning the Hunter Exam started! That's no coincidence! It couldn't have been. I'll have to ask around, what if she was there in the Hunter exam but I never noticed?!? What if she died in the Hunter exam?!? No, nowing her, if she decided to take the exam she would have prepared months or even years before she could enter.

     I looked around to see if there were any hunters I recognized. The only one I could recognize was N/N! Now that I think of it, N/N gave me such similar vibes to Y/N. Multiple times, he acted just like Y/N. He even sneezed like her. Don't ask me how I know. Then, it hit me. What if N/N was Y/N? That would make a lot of sense. Only one way to find out.

     I ran towards N/N and shoved the poster in his face.

     He stared at the poster for a few seconds and yelled, "Y/N?!?" So it's probably true that N/N must at least know Y/N. He yelled her name so casually, as if he knew her.

     "You know her? She's the one I told you about. MY FRIEND who I'm going to meet up with again one day."

     "Umm, no. Nope. I don't know her. What are you talking abou-"

     "Then, are you Y/N. N/N, it makes a lot of sense if you were Y/N. She went missing the morning the Hunter exam started, you strangely have all her habits and act just like her.

      N/N sat there and gulped. Did I scare him? No, what if he is Y/N. If he was, why would she keep her identity from me?

     "I'm not completely sure but, if you really are Y/N. Why would you hide yourself from me? Aren't we friends!?!" Shit. I should have stopped at "why would you hide yourself from me."

     "I- I lied. I do know Y/N but I'm not her! We just met in the woods one day and she was lonely so I played with her a little. She ended up ranting to me a lot of times and I came to admire her so I just picked up her habits. We didn't meet up a lot of times though. Only like two days and then she stopped coming."

     I couldn't believe it! I was wrong, and the person I'm talking to sort of sounds creepy now. Who admires someone so much that they pick up on their habits? And they only met one or two times. Things aren't adding up. N/N still sounds suspicious. Not to mention, he played with Y/N? Im not sure how I feel about that. Y/N always said she never had any really close friends besides me and Pairo. Don't tell me, after the massacre she replaced us?? No, that can't be the answer. She probably didn't replace us but just felt lonely again and searched for new friends while I was gone.

     "Alright. I believe you." I lied. I'm not 100 percent sure I can trust N/N's words but for now, I'll believe him. It still stings me that he was sort of friends with Y/N. She always stated Pairo and I were her friends. Y/N's the only one I have left from my childhood. She's the only one who me and Pairo knew so well. The thought of her having new friends makes my head ache. That's a bit selfish of myself. I should feel happy she made new friends but I can't.

     I realized I just froze there, staring at N/N the entire time. N/N tapped my shoulder.

     "Umm, Kurapika, are you okay?"

     "Yes. Sorry, N/N, I sort of panicked. You said you used to be friends with Y/N?"

     "Oh! Yes! We weren't close though. Just talked a few times and she mostly did the talking."

     Phew, they weren't close. WAIT WHAT AM I SAYING TO MYSELF.
I haven't watched myself lately, what if I turn out like the spiders? Rotten to the core.

"Oh, I was about to say, you wanna team up with me. We can both search for the spiders and capture them together."

N/N stared at me and then said, "sure. But, after I take care of something at home."

Take care of something? Well, I shouldn't argue or anything. After all, I don't need to know everything about N/N. I still am suspicious of him though.

"Okay, meet me at (that one hotel in the Yorknew ark) when you finish."

"Okay."
